Assuming both fighters would be at their brilliant best then I'd have to favour Duran...at any weight, whether it be 135lbs, 140lbs, or 147lbs. It's difficult to envision Manny dealing with Duran's angles, feints, and his brilliant counter right hand. Mix in the relentless body work and a chin that was only ever cracked by arguably the hardest hitting Welterweight in the history of the game then you only have one winner. Of course, Pacquiao would have a slight advantage in hand speed, and his flurries are very difficult to time and slip. Duran would get hit, but he'd take it, and more often than not come back with something better and more effective of his own. Either a wide points verdict or a late stoppage on the part of Duran.

Yeah because Pac getting KOd at the end of his career says everything about how a Duran fight would go.

In all seriousness this would be an amazing fight. By no means an easy fight either way, straight up war.

I see Duran having problem with Pac's speed / angles/ flurries as he tries to bull his way in. Duran is a come forward fighter, and Pacquiao likes it that way . On the other hand, Duran is great at slipping, countering, and getting inside and he's tough as hell as we all know. Basically this would be a war . I'd give my left nut to see it.

Well, Duran is a far superior fighter to pacquiao (and Marquez) so I`ll stick to my same prediction that I`ve said from the start.... Duran by rapage

probably Duran if he fought Manny of a few years ago. The Manny now might lose to Duran. Duran knows what to go for and knows what to do when a fighter is hurt. He knows weaknesses. He might even get Manny mad to make Manny aggressive and make a mistake

147? Naturally, I don't Manny would such an underdog. He'd have pretty good chances, some would consider him to actually be a favorite but I don't buy it. Below, he gets KO'd in a war.

Duran is a level above Pacquiao - the talent was completely different in these two era's, Duran is just better than Pacquiao and i'm a Pacquiao fan

It depends what Duran comes in to do. He'd likely trap Pacquiao in a clinch and grind him for 3 rounds straight, hammering him to the body in his comfort zone. He wouldn't set up a counter like that, he preferred to counter while moving inwards, but he would eventually time him and probably stop him.
