Absolutely. Kevin kelley would have given paquiao problems at his lower weight class.

He was an elite fighter whos dedication deteriorated due to fame and having smoke blown up his ass and getting lazy.

He is definitely elite because you are still talking about him

Mayweather is nowhere near as natural with his showmanship or entertaining persona as Naz. it just seems so forced and he comes across as an imbecile. Naz was a proper clown type character who was genuinely funny and entertaining and most of all, understood it to be simply entertainment. Mayweathers shows bitterness and contempt and expects a level of respect after playing the heel figure. well you cant have your cake and eat it

He was at the top for years, making him elite. He just didn't have a conventional ATG skillset.

    How was he not elite?

He fought well at the highest level, got beaten by a better fighter and hung them up.

I guess it comes down to your idea of elite...but if you hold a belt at any weight it implies you are better than the vast amount of pro's who tried and failed.

All time great? No, obviously not.
Elite? In his time then yes, he was in the mix. If you are in the mix then you are the elite.

I would rather be Naz and retire after the 1st defeat than fighting on and becoming a journeyman like RJJ, Holyfield etc. Sad really, RJJ has become the biggest joke recently, why cant he just retire ffs

People who never really work hard for something, if they don't respect it and want to keep it, will let it go and care little to nothing about it. He being smart realized boxing could get him what he wanted. I feel the same with Zab, really talented but always quit when he felt the challenge exceeded the effort he already established in his head.

He had a resume with Robinson,Kelley,McCullough,Bungu,Johnson,Medina,Ingle,Soto and Vazquez...may not be an ATG resume, but its pretty darn good for a guy who retired when he was 26!

I hate when so called fans say **** like this.

Do you have any idea of what elite actually means ? its to be among the very best of your class, Hamed was certainly that. Maybe not the very best but definitely one of them therefore he was elite
