Khan is doing more boxing specific training from what i've seen. No weights and non of those exotic exercises these modern guys seem to like.

Virgil's been digging at Ariza all way though Khan's workouts . He basically likens Ariza's work to Basketball workouts.

    I thought Virgil didn't do S&C?
He was talking the other night about how pull-ups and push-ups have ruined Amir, and he needs to focus more on skills and technique.
Although I did think for minute that Ringside were trying to make Amir look bad,I did really enjoy that segment and I hope Virgil has had a positive effect because if Amir loses tonight,it's over for him and even though I'm not fond of his personality,he's a very entertaining fighter.

I wouldn't think so, aren't Maximuscle dealing with Amir's nutrition now? At least the protein/supplements side anyway.

I have never seen Khan do weights or pull us with Ariza.

Ariza slated Khans previous conditioning which included a lot of rope climbing tc, saying it made him very top heavy. Most of Arizas stuff is focused around explosivity, medicine ball drills, jumps, bat swings.

Thankfully. Virgil said on Ringside that Khans never done neck exercises, which is madness.

From what I've seen Khan seems to be working alot more technically and old school. This is refreshing and Molina appears limited enough/small enough to be good target practice. If Molina was too good, as soon as Khan got caught he would revert to type.

You can do all the neck exercises you want (stupid idea anyway) but if you get hit in the right place you WILL go down. All the bridges in the world won't help you.

There was nothing wrong with Amir Khan's conditioning with Ariza. And there's nothing wrong with incorporating modern training techniques, boxing is a backwards ******ed sport! And consists of some of the unhealthiest athlete's in sport........"Because of this old school backwards atitude at times".

Just sense that you have a problem with some of these S&C.

Agreed!! Boxers still do sit ups, crunches and run 20 miles a day in the year 2012!:lol:

    Ariza is great for Amir.
