Fat Dan reports the fourth fight between Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao generated about 1.15 million buys on HBO PPV, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told ESPN.com on Saturday.

    Decent (if true).

Floyd-Alvarez would easily out-do the Cotto fight of last May (1.5 M).

more than I expected. Decent numbers. Since Arum is the one that told Dan, I'm guessing it was closer to what I predicted (1 million flat)

HBO themselves always come out and announce what numbers a Mayweather fight did. With Pacquiao, it's always Dan Rafael reporting what Arum told him.

    Not shocking.

Everyone saw Marquez get robbed and then Pacquiao lose to Bradley.

Still good numbers, just not the 1.4 mil fight 3 generated.
Alot of people who bought Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 must have been thinking why pay 70 bucks to witness a staged fight event.

I said it beforehand that in order for Marquez-Pacquiao to surpass the PPV's of fight 3, it had to be heavily promoted with trurth's. That JMM had been blatantly robbed in fight 3.

"Some ring experts had Marquez winning" is not enough, it should have been promoted as "most ring experts had JMM handily outboxing Manny Pacquiao.

How bad did Pacquiao's numbers vs Bradley do when these numbers a week later have been released and no mention yet of the Bradley numbers.

According to wikipedia and ESPN, Pacquiao-Bradley did 900,000 buys.

    1.150.000 x Bob Arum = 750.000

    Very good number.

Real numbers are 700,000 if that, arum always bumps up his stats.Like guy mentioned above GB themselves release exact numbers were as in dan from espn goes off what "I was lying yesterday but telling you the truth today" arum tells him.Bradley can't sell flys(2000 tickets) in his hometown you expect people to believe he can generated 200k+ on his own or even a quarter of that :yep.Heard it was even rumored as low as 550K-675k wouldn't be surprised manny fan base has declined & Mexican fan base generates most of the revenue 55-60%of it in major events Mexicans participate(Arum himself confirmed that).Yea it's unfair to maybe the 6mill marquez is getting paid but they go off of what manny generated in the past & that's they way this dirty business runs so it's whatever though.6mill better than noting. If 5th fight is made hope Marquez payday doubles he's earned/deserves every penny by now.

Golden Boy did something similar with Mayweather-Ortiz. They released the numbers on their own with no quotes from anyone at HBO. Dan, at least, in this article says he confirmed the figures with HBO.

GBP have Pacquiao's numbers as they get a small % of his fights so nothing is really that classified. I didn't expect IV to do as well as III as the fight got a lot of criticism of "We've seen it all before"...those numbers are what I would have guessed.

V will generate over 1.5m, maybe even 1.75m if promoted well...it will be huge!

Floyd vs Canelo would do 1mill plus easily in May...if Floyd dare to take the fight. I'll even help Floyd buy the fight.
