I disagree, I think it turned people away. If it was a young guy that did this to Pacquaio, that's one thing, but an old guy like Marquez who hired a steriod dealer. That's bad ju-ju. That might make people turn away for good. Casual fans like Pacquaio. When you got an old man who looked like **** in his last fight admit to eating **** and drinking ****, and hiring a steriod dealer, show up with Tommy Hearns power and the ability to take a concussion and a broken nose in the ring and not even do ****, well... People start saying, "Man, **** boxing." Some people hate Pacquaio. Some people who hate Pacquaio are people that support a guy that they will hate all people who look like him when they get older. It happens a lot.
Let me get this right ROACH..... KO's are bad for the sport, dishonest decisions are great for the sport! Gotcha! :good
It help the sport and showed how flawed Pac style is. His style is catered to a good counter puncher! No KO would have equaled another gift to Pac!
That was so shocking. So special to have witnessed. Probably happens once every 20 years in boxing cuz ive never seen such a devasting knockout in such a lucrative match up in my life :deal
I think he is having a nervous breakdown. Boxing has made him go mad. Now hes takin it out on us that jerk face...
Now, not every counterpuncher is created equal. But yeah, of course. A short southpaw is always going to have trouble with a counterpuncher, especially he he got good legs, and can keep low. It's possible that a counterpuncher that's too tall would allow Pacquaio to get underneath his punches. But yeah, a good counterpuncher is always and has always been the best in the sport. Come on man... Marquez has the same problem as Pacquaio. A good counterpuncher would give him hell. You don't think Mayweather would have problems with Martinez? That's the worst style for any boxer. What does that prove? I'm saying, it was bad for the sport because Pacquaio was an icon, and Marquez was a dude that was 40 years old eating his own **** and **** and hiring steriod dealers to win. He wasn't supposed to win. That's all I'm saying. But any mother ****er would have trouble with a counterpuncher if they had the right characteristics. A small counterpuncher is going to have trouble with a tall counterpuncher. You can beat a counterpuncher if you're small by using quickness or getting on them and using volume, but this is even harder to do if you're an undersized southpaw because you got more distance between you and your opponents strong hand. It gives them a little more opportunity to land something big. That's why orthadox vs southpaw fights are usually boring as hell. Pacquaio is a phenom in part because he wasn't boring as hell. He had natural god given athleticism that we may not see for a long time.
It might have turned *******s away but real boxing fans are always energized by relevant exciting fights like that.
I'm cool. I'm just speaking the truth. Sometimes the truth is hard to hear. A lot of people are not secure, so they don't want to hear the truth. But you know, then they live their life in a lie. They think they are more special than they really are.
I think you underestimate the amount of "*******s" that there are. It's not just that, it's the fact that an old, thought to be done fighter who eats his own **** and drinks his own **** turned into Tommy Hearns with Hagler's chin. That leaves a bad residue.
