Can't stand watching these apes in a boxing ring. ****ing sideshow, it's everything thats wrong with boxing in this corner of the world, more idiots show up to this sort of thing than for actual decent fighters
Entertaining night watching the guys bash the hell out of each other! Manu Vatuvai wasn't too bad...had the mayweather straight right countering pretty good!
It's 1000 times more entertaining than some nobodies prancing around the ring This is what boxing should be, celebrities fighting each other, footy players sorting out grudges, I'd watch boxing if it was like this all the time
In your opinion, in mine thats total Bollocks , any beef I had with an opponent on the rugby pitch was ended at no side with a handshake and resumed the next time we met . I left the ring to more dedicated fellas than myself . You don't PLAY at boxing .
None of these blokes had grudges They all do boxing training these days as part of a fitness regime for their various sports And they all raised money for charity Good show & whether boxing purists like it or not, I'm betting most found it more entertaining than regular fight nights & I bet a lot more watched because the concept was more desirable
Spot on earl these blokes wouldn't last 5 seconds with a fighter.people talk them up like there got a future in boxing.it was good to see them doing it for charity but what I seen none of them had any ability and should stick to playing football and charity fights.it is a insult to boxing that that they get more following then some real fighters get
face it knackers, two big footy players trying to knock each others block off is more popular & entertaining than just about every fight put on in Australia
tony mundine was an NRL player that went to boxing. so did his son.... its actually a good fit. qualified, tough, big, strong athletes. why wouldnt some of them become very good? harold brazier proved in the 90s that you can start as a pro at 26yo with no am exp and STILL fight for a world title. harold had 2 shots. both against roger mayweather. they were absolute wars. my belief is this is how we are going to unearth a future world heavyweight champ. some time in the next 20 years.:deal have a look at paul gallen in the league vs union thread i started. paul is a 5'11 heavy having his first pro fight. (same height as smokin joe) EVERY club in the NRL would have a potential world class fighter if they swapped codes and dedicated themselves to boxing.
