"When I hit people clean they go down. I hit Maidana clean and he went down, and Judah" "With my speed there's no one in the world who can touch me" "If I'd have fought Danny Garcia tonight I'd have knocked him out" "He caught me with a lucky shot and I didn't recover" :rofl - it's good to have you back Amir.
Khan looked good as he has ever have but he was fighting a lightweight moving up, Khan is a full fledged light welter. speed, timing and his jab were fantastic tonight, there is no denying it. He was more patient and is obviously thinking more which was also evident as he disengaged a few times and start over again. Hunter will be an excellent choice of trainer for Khan, its going to need time but Khan is still open to the left hook. Khan was bossing Garcia before the left hook landed, a rematch I can see Khan forcing a stoppage on cuts. Just got to see what else Hunter can get him to pick up and implement. People cried for Khan to start showing his best attributes; tonight we saw it.
Everything involving Khan is lose/lose I suggest all sensible people attempt to block out the trolls when evaluating khan. It was a decent performance. Nothing more, nothing less
Khan was throwing reckless combinations for the first few rounds while Garcia was measuring and timing him until he got caught with that huge left.
I'd like to see him take another couple fights against lower level guys that are taller than Molina, then if he comes through them rematch Peterson. If he doesn't improve on his first showing against Peterson then he's got no chance against Matthysse or Garcia.
