Though khan fought an undersized opponent with no pop, he did look like a fighter who was special. I can comfortably say Khan has ATG quality abilities in that ring but that chin of his will make him fall wayy short of acheiving a legacy like that. A real shame..

One of the first things I noticed is how Khan was much more settled in that ring, no energetic bouncing. Much more anticipating of his opponent.

He would fire his combinations and step back but still he leaves himself vulnerable in these exchanges. he was caught with.hooks and all sorts which if someone like garcia landed, would spell trouble. His chin was also on many occasions, still out and exposed and not tucked in..

When he was tagged you could tell his natural instinct was to trade but he kind of forcefully stops and goes back. A relative improvement but still not natural for him.

The clearest improvement is his inside fighting. Definately much more varied with nice uppercuts and body shots. Looked far more comfortable on the inside. This is aginst a shorter stockier fighter who is knowm to work well on the inside too.

Hopefully he continually matures.and becomes a more complete fighter who will protect that fragile mandible but its tough. Whenever a punch landed on him I would gasp anticipating him all wobbly and on the floor lol.. with that kind of punch resistance I feel he will be inhibited from greatness sadly.

Khan atg qualities u ****ING UK idiots are hilarious khan is trash

  3. I have always had a problem with Khans eagerness and trying too hard for speed. I think he definitely needs to get to the nuts and bolts of a 12 round bout and has hit a ceiling with what Roach can offer.

He needs to learn patience, fundamentals and strategy, Arcel style understanding of the game. I felt roach picked opponents kahn could supposedly steam roll.

    I agree completely with RJ.

I see several threads here where everyone is saying Kahn looked the same as always. I know we have a few resident morons here, but the disease seems to be spreading.

I don't even like Kahn, but if you didn't notice his (slightly) improved right-hand position, or how he was pulling back after every flurry, than you very seriously DKSAB.

What impressed me was that Kahn maintained this changed style even into the later rounds. After only 8 weeks with Hunter, I expected him to fall back into is old habits once the fight got heavy. Well, Molina didn't exactly turn up the heat, so I guess that helped.

Quite surprised by the reaction, thought Khan looked exactly the same. His hands are still low and it still seems despite having these very quick hands they hold absolutely no power. I wouldn't be surprised if he did beat Garcia in a rematch as I think hes of the mindset to be a bit more patient. However, if that does happen his confidence will sky rocket again, he'll call out Mayweather and go back to his same old tricks of rushing in with no defence.

Khan would have done the exact same job if he was under Roach last night, infact he would have probably done it quicker. Virgil is a great trainer, Khan is not a good learner.

Slightly improved infighting, keeping range with his extended left (looked really good when doing this but kept reverting back into Roach-mode), backed out after flurries though still flurries too much, should stick to 1-2's 1-2-3's no more. However, still can't move his head or upper body for ****.

I think there was little subtle improvements that clearly have gone unoticed by a few.

He stopped bouncing up and down quite so much and looked far less skittish.
The footwork was a fair bit better, he circled his opponent in a tighter fashion as to not invite unnecessary pressure.
The combinations were a little bit tighter and less wild, he didnt fall into his punches as much as usual.
He showed far better composure during the few moments that he was under pressure.
He didnt trade with the opponent or become impatient and worked at a more comfortable pace.

It was a calm and composed performance which reminded me of the Kotelnik fight, long way to go but the improvement was there.

I thought there were quite a lot of subtle changes, he wasn't as aggressive as normal, he picked his times to attack, he used the jab a lot more than he has done recently, I thought he seemed more balanced and wasn't reaching all over the place to land his shots. His inside fighting did seem improved also, he didn't look uncomfortable in there. I also thought he did a lot more pivoting than I've seen him recently instead of just running away.

He does still seem easy to catch in the exchange though because he leaves his chin up in the air but he has only worked with Hunter for one camp, I'm sure they will work on more the longer they are together. It's clear Molina was picked because he comes forward and likes to get inside but he doesn't have the power to hurt Khan so he could basically work on his weaknesses but without the threat of being knocked out.
