My feelings are Marquez should just retire now, that would be the mack move after that performance. One of the most memorable exits in boxing.
I do not think JMM should bother with Pac again. I do think Pac still has a chance to beat him but JMM doesn't owe him anything. Pac knew he didn't deserve the last win and I think deep down knew momentum and motivation was in JMMs favor, but still allowed JMM to rectify the situation. props for Pac doing the right thing. I don't think JMM needs to give the favor back though.

And I think we all know Pac will never be the same after that cracking. He best hang the gloves up and retire. I remember before this fight Pac was smiling alot and goofing off during his interview with Merchant. I don't think his head is really in it anymore anyway.

Pac gave Marquez a Fourth fight even through he was 2 wins and a draw above him officially. Any one else would have moved on and not fought someone who knows how to fight Manny so well and as some say 'has his number', but Manny being the man he is gave Marquez another chance - a very dangerous fight given that the Mayweather - Manny fight was on the line.

The least Marquez could do is return the favour and give Pacquaio a chance to overturn the loss.

I wouldn't mind a 5th fight but would prefer it if they fought the likes of Bradley, Matthysse, Guerrero, Alexander and Peterson instead.

Right it was strictly out of the generosity of his heart and had nothing at all to do with Top Rank lacking moneymaking opponents for Manny :patsch

As for the TS's question, Marquez should make Manny wait at least one year and have to move down a division for a rematch.

Marquez should retire. Pac's only hope is for him to get old overnight. The only reason for the 4th fight, was because they're were controversial decisions in the prior 3 and fans wanted a legitiamte answer as to who was better. Marquez knocking Pac the **** out finally gave us that answer, so there is no need for a 5th fight although it would be entertaining for fans.

Dont kid yourself. The fight was made for Money not because Pac wanted to give JMM a chance at a fair shake. Who else was Pac going to fight that would hit those numbers? Bradley? **** Bradley couldnt sell out a high school gym.

PAC doesn't deserve one right now. Imagine what Marquez wouldve done to pac while he was unconscious if it was a street fight.

If I were Juan, I'd ride off into the sunset and leave on a high note. He got redemption. If Juan decides to fight Pac again I wouldnt be surprised. The money is going to be more than tempting. But money isn't everything. And based on how the fight went before the knockout came, winning a fifth fight against Manny is very uncertain. Sure, the perfect opportunity might present itself again but there's no gurantee.

I'd watch the fight again and really want to see it again but I'm speaking as a boxing fan. If I were Juan I'd take the KO over Pac and call it a career. It's a great way to leave a sport as brutal as boxing.

He should pull a lewis or go for one of the other champs at 147.

If he does fight Pac in a rematch he should get the lion share of the money PERIOD. If he doesn't get the lion share of the money and random doping test, then forget it. For all the fights he had to sit back and let a guy he was better than most of the time they fought get way more money than him, especially the last fight when he had beat him clearly in the 4th fight. If he doesn't get the lion share, than don't do it.

:deal plus the fact that now Marquez has the upper hand in negotiations and can ask for more money this time around. One more fight with Manny and retire. Bradley won't bring in **** and he knows it, unless he fights Mayweather but I don't know if Marquez singed an extended contract with TR or not.

JMM won't get a better opportunity to retire in a way that leaves a lasting impression. I think he should retire now, put an exclamation mark on the end of an amazing career. He's 39, and I would think he's got enough money by now.

No... he has nothing to prove.. Pacman imo doesn't get much even if he wins the 5th either because the damage has been done already

Juan will NEVER get the lions share simply because he is not the draw. With that said, the amount of money he would make in a 5th fight has to be a LOT more based on beating Manny and knowing how BIG a 5th fight would be after how exciting the 4th one was.

If he expects the lions share he's not expecting to fight Manny again.
