Why do people say Mayweathers win of JMM doesnt count?

I know he is bigger, but he gave him a boxing lesson. he didnt out muscle him and bulldoz him down. Marquez wasnt even close to getting KOd. He was just getting schooled.

Floyd could have been wearing pillows and it would have been the same outcome.

Because they are jealous that Mayweather toyed with a younger version the guy who gave PAC fits and brutally KOed him.

We have been saying it before Marquez knocked Manny for a loop, why? tell the truth why?
The reason why is simple Floyd did in this fight basically what Adrien Broner did with his fight with Escobedo.

The man agreed to a catch weight at 144, Marquez was jumping up two weight classes for this fight as if that isnt bad enough Mayweather ends up coming in at 147 disregarded the agreed weight, had his promoter save his ass by re negotiating the contracts at the last min that paid Marquez a little extra.

The reality here is Marquez was basically talked into allowing this to move forward under these circumstances, Marquez should have told Floyd to go **** himself, had Floyd come down to 144 I dont think Floyds body would have been able to handle that very well I mean if 2 pounds can drain Cotto 3 is going to do the same to Floyd.

and Floyd knew it which is why he didnt bother making the contracted weight agreement

Would mayweather jump two weight classes to a weight he never fought at before and face a #2 pfp like say Martinez ? I ****en doubt it.

    It does count, unfortunately.

Yes, Mayweather came in overweight, but Juan did have the chance to call off the fight but he took an extra payment from Mayweather to go ahead with it, so neither Juan or us his fans can really complain about that. The thing is, Mayweather didn't really beat Juan with that extra weight, he wasn't bullying him around the ring etc. He used his speed, reflexes and his ability to remain the counterpuncher and force JMM be the aggressive one. That was JMM completely out of his comfort zone. Just an awful styles matchup for him. It's also clear his conditioning for the fight was awful. His first time above 140 and they didn't know how or didn't have time to get his body to adjust. Worst he's looked physically as a professional.

It was a bad night, regrettable. But if you want to fight the best as JMM always does, then you have to take chances, and it didn't work out that night.

    its not rocket science

mayweather a settled in welterweight (147) for 5 years fighting a guy that had over 50 fights at featherweight (126) a handfull of fights at 130-135 and

    NONE at 140
    NONE at 147

why should the pound for pound best fighter in the world get credit for beating a guy just recently removed from 4 weight divisions below? hmmmmmm

it was a mismatch when signed, and bigger mismatch as a result

that would be like brandon rios jumping up and fighting austin trout

In the ring I believe there was a 4lbs weight difference between the 2.

In the Mayweather Ortiz match there was a 14lbs difference between the 2...just to put it into perspective.

Floyd has fought bigger guys his whole career.

After Pacmans brutal loss people are trying extra hard to discredit Mayweather because the haters realize theres no one in the landscape that can beat him and theres a very real possibility he retires with his 0.

It counts, One of Floyd's best wins.
But last night I cracked open the archive & popped in Gatti Vs. Mayweather & Holy ****!!

@140lbs Mayweather was an absolute MONSTER.
(Shame he didn't hang around 140LBS that long)

Had Marquez called the fight off we would've never heard the end of it.Give the man his props for still going ahead with the fight at the last ****en moment knowing he was at a disadvantage.Had I been in jmms position and said **** that I'm not fighting I would've been called a ducker or a chicken.

I find it funny that for those that say mayweather easily beat marquez doesnt count cause it was marquez first fight at ww but those same people dont want to see mayweather vs marquez rematch in which shows easily that those same people dont have confident in marquez beat mayweather in the rematch cause it be the same result.

So if mayweather fought marquez in a rematch and again easily beat him, would you give mayweather credit this time? Or you once again wont give him credit?

Mayweathers health comes first therefore he will carefully fight young hungry lions that pose no threat to him.I wonder why he didn't push foe the Martinez fight after Martinez chopped pwill down to size.Makes you wonder...

I want to see Floyd do what Marquez did and go after Martinez.Theres a better chance bigfoot gets captured before this fight happens.
