Why cant you answer my question? Its really an easy question. Again if mayweather fought marquez in a rematch and easily beat marquez, would you this time give mayweather credit?
Pacquiao was bigger and already established at the weight when he fought Marquez too. People give this fight no credit because of bad Mayweather made Marquez look and because of the failure to make the catchweight.
Did anybody really watch mayweather vs marquez? Mayweather didnt even use his size advantage. He was letting marquez come at him in which mayweather was easily using his boxing skills in which he torture marquez. If the rematch happen then i bet my money it be the same result.
No one will give him credit whoever he beats, that's all you need to know. Even if he moves to 160 and dominates Martinez for Middleweight supremacy, he's getting no credit a week after the fight.
The fact of the matter is, it was one of Floyds better wins, it was clean as it gets vs a top level p4p fighter. Marquez couldn't have touched him with a handful of rice that day, and probably wouldn't today either. Mayweather is just on a different level stylistically and physically, ofcourse.
I'd give Marquez 4 rounds that's about it.Floyds reflexes would be the variable. Now that you've got your answer , when will Floyd fight Martinez?
I'm not sure about others but it's obvious that Mayweather relies on ability and defense rather than size. He never used size because he's not an aggressive fighter. Mayweather out-boxed Marquez and used ability, Marquez felt his power was nonexistent at the weight. As a counter puncher, if his counters don't sting, he's pretty much screwed. Not to forget, Mayweather made Marquez look like a zombie due to speed difference.
Martinez is a 160lb fighter who is already scheduled to fight in April. :deal Also, he is now pushing 40. By the time September comes, if they did happen to fight, Mayweather would get 0 credit for fighting a weight-drained old man whos only good win was by a lucky KO and against a seriously overhyped JCCjr.
I didnt ask you of what rounds you think marquez would win vs mayweather in a rematch. I ask you a simple question if Mayweather fought Marquez and easily beat him in a rematch, would you give Mayweather credit? Its a damn simple question.
Flouyd fighting Martinez would be different from Marquez fighting Mayweather. When Floyd and Marquez got in the ring, there was 4lbs of weight in the difference between them and maybe an inch in height. If Mayweather was to go up to 160 and fight Martinez(I dont think its necessary,I think Martinez can easily make 154), Martinez would be 15-20lbs heavier than Floyd on fight night. See the difference. Floyd fought more fights at 130lbs than any other division hes fought in.
