That's totally fine.. but I don't like how some write off the opinions of others as if what they're saying is some kind of fact... it doesn't matter if you've watched boxing for 50 years or one week, doesn't mean ****. Also, a lot of people don't know how to respectably have a discussion on this forum.. I'm not talking about this thread but on ESB in general... it's just frustrating seeing a lot of it on here.. when there could be some good discussions...
Excellent analysis. Still, we did se SOME improvement, especially in his footwork IMO, getting out after ever flurry completely. Let's give Hunter 6 months before we give up on Kahn. He still has speed, (inaccurate, wasted speed, but speed nonetheless) and he's fun to watch.
I've felt that pain as well, but you have to desensitise yourself or you'll always be disappointed.:-(
since its obvious you are referring to me, ill tell you that it does matter. i have the benefit of thousands of fights and careers to use as evidence in forming my oppinions on any subject relating to the sport. it might not matter if you are a dumbass who doesnt have the ability to mine the wealth of information contained in 35 years of following the sport, but i assure you, i am not a dumbass.
:deal exactly. I despise Khan, but it's obvious to see he has made improvements. It's only been one camp and styles like this take a little time to develop. So give the kid some time
If it's possible, rebuilding his 1-2 to a heavier weapon could make a significant difference. He needs to hurt to get respect.
I agree with your comments above. I also think there may come a time in the fight where he will return to his old habits but it all depends on whether or not Hunter can get inside Khan's head and instill the discipline necessary. Let's see what happens, if he gets knocked out I wouldn't be surprised but I also wouldn't be surprised if he gets through some tough fights and begins to join the ranks of the top fighters in the world again - I guess this is why his fights will always be exciting, you've got that 50/50 factor, you just never know which Amir Khan will turn up.. the boxer or the fighter. Okay... good for you... get yourself a medal for the 35 years.. continue to feel like you are superior to all the other members here because you are a 50 + year old adult with 35 years of boxing experience... well done
LOL ATG skills and qualities. Speed and some decent pop that's a bit. No head movement, amatuerish in his style and the way he throws punches, not very elusive, and very chinny. I think Virgil will do well with him and I saw some improvements last night. Started to walk around and bit more relaxed, which was one of his biggest weaknesses, and his defense looked better. But I think when he gets in a dog fight his old style will come out and he'll get caught again.
now its pretty evident that youre just a whiny little ***** who cant have a normal conversation like a man. first off, to say that it doesnt matter if youve been watching boxing for 50 years or a week shows that you are frickin dumbass who has no idea what he is saying, and not just in the boxing sense. now, because you are too frickin stupid to think of a response that can actually challenge anything ive written, you resort to behaving like spurned teen girl and choose to get all bitchy. i have no respect for little ****s like you who act like half a *** just because someone says something negative about their man crush, put your big boy pants on and stop acting like a little *****.
Wouldnt you agree that Khan needs to learn how to walk before he runs, he needed an opponent to try out a few new moves and show a more patient style. Going from Roach's gung ho style to Hunter's more thoughtful style is going to be very difficult for Khan which was evidence when Amir appeared stuck between the two styles. You seem to be expecting far too much far too soon. I would estimate that Khan need 9-12 months of solid training and a 2-3 fights before he's ready even for the likes of Garcia, and at that to be rated a live underdog.
Khan is thick as pig**** and for someone with such an extensive amateur background he makes tons of fundamental mistakes.
Agreed. However, he still has a tendency to finish flurries on the inside with that pointless right uppercut(Roach's fault) that got him caught against Garcia.
