    Ward has fought excellent competiton.

The first three guys on the list were special IMO, as is Ward. The rest are that .5 below.

Andre Ward reminds me of a more Athletic B-Hop.. Nothing he really lacks.. he can fight good inside & Outside.. Great at taking away whatever the opponents does best... & Andre Ward been undefeated in the Amateurs since he was 12 years old fighting all National fights.. not toomany guys can say they did that!..

I think he beats everyone except Jones. Him vs Toney would be such a skillful fight. Classic technique.

WHoops! Didn't see Mccallum and Watson. Would favor them too. Would say Nunn but he was best at 160 and above that Ward would beat him decisively plus Ward never proved himself at 160. I don't think he even fought there.

    Who has Ward fought?

    Whos the excellent competition?

Eubank and Benn are leaps and bounds better than Mikkel Kessler and Carl Froch.

Eubank was up there as one of the best. He would have given Toney a good fight but most americans do not rate him.

They just want to hate on them because they aren't american. If they were american they would be highly rated like Toney and Roy Jones Jr.

Roy Jones Jr was the most exceptional talent on the list.

I wouldn't go as far as leaps and bounds.

Where do you rank Eubank in relation to Calzaghe?

A prime Chris Eubank beats Joe Calzaghe.

I say he's around the same level as Calzaghe in terms of how Joes career has panned out. Joe has more accolades but they're more or less the same level. Chris Eubank was a better boxer however.

Carl Froch is ordinary. Ordinary puncher with no real classical boxing skills. That's as honest as anyone will get without being biased.

Andre Ward has not fought anyone as good as Nigel Benn or Chris Eubank yet.

Chad Dawson is extremely overrated. I don't count him.

He most certainly doesn't beat Calzaghe. He's completely outside what his supremely intelligent and effective pro style can handle, the output, the movement, the angles, the conditioning, all wrong especially if he can't put up the power to somehow stop Joe in his tracks. Not that feeding Calzaghe with power held him back for long whenever he got clocked, but could make things close. All wrong for Ward.

In all sincerity Sir, that ends our conversation.

Well, you know nothing about boxing. If you think Carl Froch is actually a good ''boxer'', you don't know the fundamentals of the game.

He has power and is a good at pressuring fighters.

Other than that, he is ordinary.

If you think he's a good classical boxer like Chris Eubank, you must be on something. He isn't fit to lace his boots or Nigel Benn.

He can't run around the ring and hit people from all angles. He is a pressure fighter. He fights one way and if that doesn't work he can't change his style.

Andre Ward showed this when he fought him. He won every round against Froch because Froch can't change his gameplan.

Not fit to lace there boots? In your previous post you remark about bias, I'd suggest keeping the hypocrisy as a little more of a secret. You imply he wouldn't even be competitive? Which suggests to me that you're wearing the rose tinted glasses.

He would lose every round against a prime Chris Eubank and maybe win three or four rounds with Nigel Benn if he's lucky.

And i'm not underrating Carl Froch. He's good at what he does and can do it effectively.

Which is just pressure people with very predictable punches. If that doesn't work he becomes frustrated and doesn't know how to change his game. Watch the Dirrell fight for an example.

He's too slow to change his game and try and fight from a different gameplan.

The difference is Ward as overrated as he is can change from orthodox to southpaw to unorthodox. He can change his game on the fly which makes him a top fighter.

    Carl Froch can't do this.

He does the same thing in every fight. If you're too slow to avoid them you get hit, but slicker boxers avoid his punches like the plague.

I agree but Nunn and McCallum were past their best at SMW, that's why i pick Ward to beat them.

Beats the lot imo except Jones, Toney and Maybe Calzaghe, with Benn of course having the small punchers chance. Saying that Barkley and Park could bang as well so maybe they have slight one as well?
