Froch and Kessler have a gentleman's agreement to fight in the UK.

Both would rather fight the other because their styles mesh well and guarantee a fan-friendly fight.

They are both good friends too.

Ward knows this but is merely hyping any potential fight by getting a bit lippy.

If Ward was a warrior like Kessler and Froch he would simply say he will fight either in their backyard and make a gentlemans agreement with both, allowing the money men to dot the i's and cross the t's.

It's still positive coming from him though, looks like he's open to considering it although these type of fighters often use "politics" as a get-out clause (you know what I'm talking about floyd fans)

If Andre Ward was trained by Freddie Roach Froch woulda knocked him out, there is no doubt about it

I don't understand the point you're trying to make? :huh If Floyd Mayweather trained himself, he would of never became a champion.. same logic.

I like what i'm hearing from Ward in that interview,he's clearly hyping a fight against Froch in the UK.
Props to him if he's willing to travel to the UK and fight.

I think the best fight would be with Kessler

So you are saying Ward's fights are not worth fighting unless he goes to cruiserweight? because he has beaten the best at SMW and LHW.

    His fights are kinda pointless.

Ok.... no wonder no-one wants to see him fight.

Froch is not afraid to fight anyone, any fan knows this. He has spoken about a Ward rematch in terms of thats what he'd like after avenging his loss to Kessler, why becuase has wanted that rematch longer, he knows that was a close war. Just because he has said in the future he wants Ward doesnt mean he has to start buggin Ward right now.

He's bang on the money. Hearn especially, talks a load of ****. I get the feeling they're only interested in Ward if they can make him come to the UK. If they're gonna' get outclassed by him, they'd rather get outclassed here where they can at least make a bit of money from it. But they know that over in the States -- even in a neutral venue -- their chances of winning are somewhat reduced and they'd recieve little reward for it.

Ward's problem is that these 2 are the next best at SMW and both earn enough in their own countries that they don't have to travel to America for the fight, so if he want to build his legacy he's going to have to apply for a passport which ideally he doesn't want to have to do.

We've already seen this the way he blatently ducked Bute because it would mean travelling to Canada to fight the bigger draw, he's now in a position where there is very little left to fight to build his legacy at SMW d LHW so he needs to chase these fights rather than sitting back complaining about it.

As bad of a decision it was to not face Bute, I wouldn't call it a 'duck'. He just wanted the fight to marinate. Unfortunately for him Froch then stepped in and took his glory. Also, he wasn't being forced to go to Canada for Bute. Being the man of the division, they could have easily negotiated for the fight to be in the States.

And he doesn't need to chase ****. He's already beaten both Froch and Kessler with ease. It's absurd to think he 'needs' them for his legacy.

I doubt Hearn is going to make Goosen an offer yet when they're still negotiating the Kessler fight with Sauerland first and working on the Bute rematch mess too. Kessler too has had the Magee fight to deal with and the Froch rematch to work on so they're both understandably busy not looking past that.

I get the sense from what Ward said in the interview that it's more the other way round. I wouldn't suggest he's ducking them or he fears them because he should beat both again comfortably, but he won't want to compromise or take any risks. He totally dodged the question about fighting away from home, and given the way he was all 'Froch has fought in Atlantic City before, I haven't' before the first fight, I reckon he's 100% targetting the rematch in Oakland and believes that's just.

Maybe it is because he's the champion and I'd say you have to go to them and take the belts and accolades, but given he's already had the fight in the US and had home advantage throughout his career, maybe he should put it on the line and leave his comfort zone for once and prove what a great fighter he is. Maybe it's more fair if it happens outside of Nottingham though, seeing as the first fight wasn't in Oakland.

Ward doesnt like the idea of travelling-possibly ego driven reasoning.

As for 'And he doesn't need to chase ****. He's already beaten both Froch and Kessler with ease. It's absurd to think he 'needs' them for his legacy. ' He doesnt need them but to criticise them for not picking up the phone 3 seconds after Froch has said'in the future id like a rematch' is just as absurd and criticising Froch for not doing so is as bad

I think Ward's a little irritated that both Froch and Kessler have been taking digs at him in recent months; saying he's a coward, can't fight outside the US, they'd beat him in rematches, etc. They've been doing this for quite a while and Ward's rightfully concerned that the fans in Denmark/UK -- who these comments are being made infront of -- are thinking he's hiding in a hole somewhere, too afraid to take them on.

So Ward's now just saying: "If you two think you'd beat me, why ain't none of your promoters contacted us about a potential fight?". He's not asking them to make the fight right now (because of course they're all obliged in other fights). He's just saying instead of barking his name in the press, do something about it. If Eddie Hearn, back when Froch was due to face Bute, can have rematches in place a year down the line whilst also remaining in contact with Kessler's people for a potential fight, then surely he'd do the same with Ward's people if they were serious about him? But they've not done none of that. Nor have Kessler's promoters. They're just yapping his name. That's all. None of them have come forward to actually negotiate a fight.

course they dont want to fight, they have to say Ward's name to show they aint scared.

but there promoters have probably deleted Wards number out there phone book

    guarenteed loss? nahh *delete*

it would certainly be a treat for the UK fans if Ward came over to tax Carl Froch's ass,

not in nottingham though, better places in the UK then that hole.

Id pay to go watch Ward
