Lol yeah lebedev is a good puncher at cruiser but you guys forget chambers has made a career as an UNDERSIZED hw and has surely been in with much bigger punchers. (including the most powerful puncher in boxing today). Nothing new here for eddie

My honest opinion Eddie is that you will do a job on him. Lebedev is crude and relies on power to get through but you are more than used to handling bigger and stronger guys. Too much skill Imo, wide unam Dec or possibly a late stoppage

 

I watched Lebedev's title defense against Silgado today, but didn't bother checking out the interview afterward (not being fluent in Russian)

That would've been trippy, though, hearing him mouth off the name "Eddie Chambers"! :shock:

Honestly, that's a bad look for him. I don't know if maybe he saw the Klitschko footage and is thinking he's got comparable power at CW or something to replicate that...but honestly Silgado was boxing his face off for a few rounds until he got caught with a big uppercut.

I don't see Fast Eddie getting hit with that shot.

My advice is dont take him out to convincingly you will never get the big unification fights in germany otherwise as they will be to scared of losing there blank cheque in huck!

Not sure if you been asked this or not but just wondering how highly you rated povetkin?and how you feel he would keep against wlad considering you thought them both?

Also what do you think about steve cunningham switching to heavyweight an dhave you swapped notes on respective divisions?

Huge respect if you take this as your first fight at cruiser. Like most on the forum, I think you have the skills to out box him. Walk him into a shot or two and you could have a huge statement win.

Silgado's right hand was magnetically attracted to Lebedev's face today, and he would continued to have done well had he not lost his cool and slugged after getting tagged. I don't see Eddie making the same mistake in that situation (or getting tagged quite that way, for that matter).

If Dennis seriously wants this, then I think you should be kind enough to oblige his request.

Honestly think you'd have an easier time with Huck and Hernandez. You'll beat Lebedev though but if you can get Hernandez that'd be best since he's the lineal champ but big ups for being willing to take on Lebedev straight away at CW and if he's willing to do it in NY then go for it where you'll get a fair shake, in all likely hood you make him look sloppy and amateur winning a wide UD.
