    Honestly, I'm naive?

    You have rewritten history to completely exclude the fact that Froch brought no money, no TV and no real weight to the tournament. What he did bring was a belt and a story with Jermain Taylor. That was the reason Showtime wanted him in.

    They've pulled that trick before.

    I'm not debating the fact that Froch brought no TV into the tournament, your talking like you know what Showtime's thinking was regarding bringing Froch in to the tournament, which is pure speculation.

    Froch brought and entertaining style and a belt IMO.

    Don't you find it odd that Alec's at pains to point out that it was Ricky's decision Dunky?
    I'm sure you're familiar with either party here,and you shouldn't be surprised if Ricky had no say in the matter,or was at least given a different description of his choices.
    Alec still trains in his gym most days even at his advanced age.I'm sure he knows what people are thinking mate.

    PTF my good man, I would LOVE it if Ricky was being fed a lot of bull**** by old Alex, & uncle Frank, in fact, its the last crumb of comfort I hold onto. As for being familiar with Morrisons ways? I have been a critic of him here for YEARS. I have no respect for him in the world of boxing, hes a money obsessed dinosaur who thinks hes a old skool 1950s gangster, & hes treated scottish fighters shockingly through the years, in order to make a fast buck for himself. I almost laughed through my tears of despair when I seen him quoting figures of half a million quid or Ricky doesnt fight, a leopard cant change its spots.

    Broner is the big star, & hes goading Burns. So alex misreads the situation & thinks he can negotiate a fortune for himself & Burns, what an utter bozo. Broner has so many options, but Morrison thinks he can be the bigshot shouting the odds, making demands. talk about misreading a situation! All he has done is make Ricky Burns look like a ducker:-( bad management froma manager.

    What an utter farce! I wouldnt expect anything else though when that old chancer is involved.

    Maybe the gym will get a new speedball if Broner comes off mate.:yep
    Only kidding though.One thing about that gym is that it is probably the friendliest gym I've ever been at.Alec's daughters are dinky doo when it comes to customer relations.

    Thanks Bill :thumbsup We could go back 18 months and the same things being said about Broner now were being said about Kirkland then....Then some Jap hones into view and the wheels drop off pretty spectacularly

    Realistically I could have actually gone to this fight if it was in April as I will be in NJ for a family wedding. Seeing Ricky in a big fight in the states would have been a childhood dream
    come true as well. Sadly it's not to be.
