Pathetic short notice fight, even if he could land a short notice replacement like jason gavern, darnell wilson or zack page type fighter would of been better. lucus browne did ,gavern was a decent short notice fighter. Mark digs reed out the grave then goes on to say how hard it be to knock him out and that he was a legitiment world tittle challenger.

No sign of it stopping any time soon, and 2012 has produced 3 tragic matchups >>>

Rob Calloway 42, and now mercifully retired.

Troy Weida 39, shot as ****, and should be retired.

Damon Reed 41, and coming out of 18 months retirement.

    ....combined age 122

What an absolute waste of 12 months of the career of a guy who is supposedly WBC top 20.

Usually I don't say anything because I don't want to burn bridges, but I don't really give a **** anymore. I sent the promoter an email over a week ago stating that if anything happened with Brown that I'd be willing to step in.

Damon ****ing Reed, he's not even a good punching bag at this point of his career. And yes, if I catch Mark with a hay-maker, he's out. I wouldn't be coming for a points victory. If anyone gets upset, cool, send a contract. My medicals are good, passport etc. Bags are packed.

There you go straight from the man himself, sent the email before the usual brown pulled out now i gotta find even a worse retired corpse to prop up in the corner stunt they always pull,I guess theres too much chance of you knocking out there boy. So they got out their shovels n spades and dug reed out.....WBC heavyweight contender..............

Not saying that I'm the best fighter, but when you have fought as long as he has, you should fight people that will present some type of challenge that will help you learn where you really are in your career at that point in time.

This fight does absolutely nothing for his growth. But hey, if he can continue making good money this way and then cash out later, I'm not hating. Just don't give interviews saying you can beat this guy and that guy and then fight a Galen Brown or Damon Reed when you have real tough journeymen that can give you a good test that are ready and available.
