Ortiz would shattered his glass chin again. Love to see that fight.

Khan should fight Bradley at 147 first and not Ortiz though.

Yet maidana actually got put on his ass, Khan didn't, what's that about?

I'd favour Khan over ortrees, risky fight though

Khan will school Ortiz hard, stylistic nightmare for Ortiz.

Its not that he's underating Khan, he's a Khan-hater and has nothing constructive to add period.

IMO for a debut @ 147lbs this is more risky than jumping straight back in with Garcia. Khan loses this & he is done on the world stage. There is no way Hunter would give this fight his blessing, Khan & his management team really are their own worst enemies.....

If Khan moves up, he'll be more comfortable at the weight. Power may increase, maybe he'll even be able to take a better shot. Ortiz is dangerous, but if Khan boxes him and uses speed, movement, angles, Ortiz may get frustrated like he did against Mayweather and start getting picked apart. Not saying this will happen by any means, but would be interesting. Ortiz just doesn't seem to handle boxers that well.

Ortiz footwork is much better than garcia's. Khan could win this on the outside but of Ortiz catches him it is good night khan. Ortiz will be 160 on fight night. If pederson was able to bully him to the ropes a huge Ortiz wil do it to.

    Interesting fight.

This is why I like Khan so much as a fighter. He has balls of steel and ducks no one. For a guy who is considered to have such a glass jaw, he consistently fights guys who are know to be big hitters.

wont happen.. gbp would be stupid.

both are recuperating after having their careers hanging by a thread. why write off one of them..

the main point is though...this fight would have to be at 147. Khan is not ready to move up yet and I doubt he would take that a first test

Khan's biggest handicap is not his chin, his poor footwork, his non-existent defense, his slightly above average power but his IQ which runs into single digits and consequently when under pressure, Amir will always resort to fighting from pure instinct. It's been mentioned before, Khan is a professional "amateur" boxer and he's stuck with that mentality as he's never known anything different.

Even under Roach, Freddie's style is all out offense & it requires a fighter with certain physical characteristics, ala Pacquiao, to get the most out of it. Hence, Roach was never the best of fits given Khan's flaws.

Emmanuel Steward would have been ideal, although be interesting to see what changes Hunter can make to Khan's game......
