In this era of Heavyweight boxing, 30 years old is classed as a "baby" in the division. To think that Tyson Fury is only 23/24 years old and not far away from fighting at the elite level, is pretty amazing. He can only get better, and he could well have a very successful career. Do you agree?
He may improve but his chin will never improve. Every time he gets hit he looks like he is gonna get knocked out, he has been protected well up to now and still looks one big punch away from being knocked out...he aint going anywhere
You mean the fights where his defense was utter **** and he used to block massive punches with his face? And only looked in trouble the once?(Firtha). Pajkic put him on his arse but he soon paid for that when Fury got up and proceeded to punch his head in.There's **** all wrong with Fury's chin. Been down once, for a split second and wasn't hurt .... used to use his face to absorb punches from men that weigh well over 200 lbs ... **** chin!! Fury has above average punch resistance and his recovery rate is great to be honest.
Fury was like 21/22 years old in that fight FFS. Mike Tyson and Cassius Clay (two of the best heavyweights in history) were both knocked down or knocked out when they were around that age. But look at how their careers ended up? Both in the hall of fame and All time greats.
Tyson is a good fighter with a very good future. I can see him and Pricey both winning world titles. This might sound strange because I think Pricey will beat him but I think Fury will have had a bigger career once he finishes boxing, he could fight for another 10 years and still not even be 35.
I remember in the Chisora fight he took a barrage of flush shots,a couple of times throughout the fight, say what you will about Chis and his power but he's a big bloke and if Fury's chin was as **** as people make out he'd have gone over,Mcdermott aswell used to unload on him and have little to no effect,Johnson caught him a few times .. did nothing,Firtha had to hit him about 15 times flush on the chin to finally get his attention .... could go on but it's pointless.
I must confess, the first time I saw Tyson I thought he looked about 40. I don't think he's lying about his age though.
