no prob. it's also a decent benchmark on the ebb and flow of the talent pool and you can make inferences out of it as well.

For example, contrary to popular opinion, boxing is not dying (like as it has been claimed to be since its genesis), in fact the talent pool is growing (but slightly biased toward the modern era due to more streamlined record keeping, which is why the black dots are closer to the colored chart as it gets closer to today)

Arturo Gatti is a legend. He's not the GOAT.

The answer is that the 'best boxing minds' are geriatric farts that cling to past glory.

    Trolling is a lost art.

I find that the term 'troll' is often misused. Arbitrary use of the word 'troll' just cheapens its meaning, in my opinion.

Why does the question keep getting evaded?

If you don't consider Robinson to be the greatest of all time, then who is most fitting for that honorary title and why? Answer genuinely, please.

You haven't answered my question, I. Is your opinion of SRR based on BoxRec alone?

You remind me of the blind man who grabs 'n elephant's tail and says: "This must be a snake"

Where is 1915-25 on the chart, is it that huge drop off that is less than twice below the 30's and 50's or is it on same peak as the 30's? I think the quality of boxers was alot higher in from 1915 building through to 1930 than it was in the 50's, MW division included, alot more talent rich.

    Because it's a red herring.

The logic you used is that of a ******. Legend != goat.

I should be banned for a difference of opinion that falls outside the mainstream view? Typical goon boxing purist response.

Not sure what point you're trying to make. Which one of SRR's best wins had a 50-24 record? Robinson beat 10 hall of famers..
Lamotta 83-19 during the end of his career
Angott 99-28 during the end of his career
Henry Armstrong 150-21 during the end of his career, considered 2nd best ATG fighter
Kid Gavilan 108-30 during the end of his career
Rocky Graziano 67-10 during end of his career
Turpin 66-8 during end of his career
I can go on.. but you get my point.. While Silva's best win is Henderson.. whose 29-8 and considered the best he's looked in a long time.
