Either Martinez or Marquez, they are old and will likely be inactive soon or retire.

Marquez or Martinez, whoever retires first.

Word is JMM will continue his career.
(Hope he gets the Bradley fight & ignores a 5th Pac fight)

  4. More money in a Pac fight though so I doubt it. Plus Pacquiao is more deserving (we all know he beat Bradley)

I want the Bradley fight pronto

the 5th Pac fight is ok I guess. I think Pac does deserve his rematch request (did he request one?) since he did give JMM his chances as well

IMO it's in PAC's best interest if JMM fights Bradley next.
(Pacquiao gets a crack at the winner)

If Juan wins he gets a shot @his belt and another chance @revenge.

If Bradley wins he gets a softer type fight upon a return & chance @revenge.

Is this the Ring's top 5 of our own? If it's the Ring, they'll drop Martinez and Ward ASAP to make way for Broner and Canelo.

  10. I hope they promote Donaire above Broner in the updated rankings this week- there must've been a huge backlash about Broner being ranked above him "I'm never reading again, etc..."

It's my own#5, as I put in the initial post.
Which fighter do you feel will drop the ball in 2013?
(It can be any mix you want)

Martinez. I rank him 5th of the fighters you mentioned, he's getting old and there aren't many big fights for him at 160 to boost his ranking.

Not sure who will replace him though. Maybe Broner if he can unify lightweight next year? If Bradley could win a fight vs Marquez/Floyd/Manny he would be top 5 for sure.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Marquez loses his next fight. It may be the case that Pac 4 was his last swansong, kind of like Mosley against Margarito. It also wouldn't surprise me if Floyd or Maravilla either retire in the next 12-18 months or simply due to their age are defeated.

The only 2 I'm confident will still be there in 12-18 months time are Ward and Donaire. Both guys are young enough and look unbeatable at the moment.
