As I've said before I apologise if I sound abrupt but you Craney have no idea what kind of person Ricky Burns is and how hard he works everyday,I've been in many many gyms in the UK and I can honestly say nobody trains has hard as Ricky and for people like you and others to come on here and decry him is not on,especially after what he as achieved.
He is a class act in and out the ring and has a mind of his own!
See the same people who haven't got positive things to say regarding myself well they would all love to be in the lucky position I'm in training the best fighter in the UK:good

Craney, see the "rate the belts" thread, the WBC is not THE belt, considering Vazquez was the number one guy and he held the IBF, how does beating De Marco make Broner the man with THE belt? it wasn't THE BELT when De Marco had it, but it is now Broner has it?

well aye good speach m8, but you still never said why the fight should take place on Broner's terms and when Broner wants it?

Why should Ricky bow to what 'your boy' wants? they are both champions, and the fight will only happen if BOTH parties are satisfied. he aint gonna budge and fly over on a moments notice, just because broner is calling him out for a quick fight date. that would be silly don't you think? so everybody should bow to king broner? don't make me LOL you idiot. who the **** does he think he is??
Your saying that Ricky should 'be glad' for a shot at broner? you're a tube if you think that m8.
i tend to see it the other way round. if broner can get Ricky to come over to the states to fight (which i think he should by the way), then he should be thankful for Burns giving him a shot at his title.

at the end of the day, they are both world champions, (i don't buy your shite about WBC being 'the belt'. does that make VK the main man at HW? don't think so! ) and both i think know that the fight does need to happen.
But if you think broner can dictate all the terms then you are mistaken.

The fight will happen i'm sure, then Ricky can take his ****in head off, then that'll be the last we'll hear about 'the problem' maybe then you guys can all get off the king broner bandwagon eh!

I know you know your fighter better than anyone, and your quite right to stand by your man. But just dont have a go at those that think a fight goes a different way pal, we know how you feel and what you think a Broner fight will go down like. Nobody is jumping down your neck for having that view.

To clarify Billy, I aint got a problem with you, and I dont like being nasty, but sometimes you can be and there is no need for it, I havent got anything against you or your fighter and I agree with a lot you have to say. I've said before your fighter seems like a top man, and a top boxer, and is vastly improved under your watch.

Just dont go crazy if people think Broner wins a fight, thats just boxing, its always been about different opinions and styles, it always ever will be pal. :good

IMO and in others, the WBC belt is the most prestigious world title belt. And I've always believed the WBC is THE belt, whether Broner has it round his waste or not.

Put it this way, I think it was BB the other day who said he'd like to see some of these belts thrown away, there is just to many, its alphabet spaghetti at the moment. there should only ever be ONE world champion in a division. But lets face it, all these belts have come about to make more £ of more than just 1 fight, you dont just have one world title fight in a division now, so thats why they wanted all the belts.

I'd personally like to see regional/domestic belts, one European belt per division, and the WBC per division. That way the duckers wont get a shot at the champion if they fear them, you either fight the best or you dont. You either want to try and achieve your dream of world champion, or you dont. But now we have like 3-4 different champions in a division, 2 of which could be paper champions and average fighters. Then the challengers pick the easiest route and then become "world champion"....David Haye-Valuev. Hearn taking his fighters down the IBF routes. etc etc

There is no prestige anymore. Do away with all the belts, WBO, IBF etc etc, and just have the WBC. ONE WORLD CHAMPION. THE world champion....and if you want to be the man, you gotta beat the man. :deal

Merge all the belts together. Number 1 and 2 in the divisions all have to fight one another for this super belt. All other belts get relinquished. Then you have THE champion in each division.

How great would that make boxing again?

The champion would be proud to be THE champion, not just one of a few, you'd see champions fight with everything they have to remain THE champion of the world.

    I have a dream....

Froch is miles in front and has achieved more than Ricky. Surely you can't disagree with that?

    Happily.

Him and his team claim to be a two weight world champion yet they haven't fought a live opponent since Martinez. Katsidis was shot, Mitchell is domestic level, Nicky Cook was a joke fight and Moses not much better.,

He ran up to 35 to get away from Broner, so Broner moves up to fight him and Burns continues to run. He's the most over-rated fighter on this forum, clearly doesn't want the big fights and will continue to milk his paper belt for aslong as possible.

It's difficult to give Burns the benefit of the doubt when this is he second time he has refused to face Broner.
