Best fight that can be made in the HW division, IMO.
ASSuming this is Wlad Klitschko we are talking about?

Klits are close to complete domination.

    Irrelevant but humourous.

Don't...edit with that much. But, thanks for pointing it out, anyway. I'll add to your addition, I haven't seen "almost faultless" in Pulev, though he's also been moved along very quickly and done excellently. I think he's a strong contender, but certainly not faultless. And I think he's going to match up very poorly with Volo, also. But, I want to see them both take their shot, dammit.

You did it again. Yeah, I can see thinking about it that way too. Maybe Pulev's dimensions would make him more interesting. Definitely still guesswork until we get to see it. CHEF's not hearing about Povetkin gives me less hope we get to see one of them give it a go. And if Pulev does what he'd wanted to do and takes a stay-busy match in his backyard, then maybe has to face the winner of Adamek/Cunningham (?) and Volo goes his way with Fury or...they all just seem so close, yet so far away, potentially. :sad2

Edit: Jisi's picking Volo? :admin Holy ****!

Povetkin will be the best opponent Wlad can face. Amazing amateur background, olympic and world titles, a version of a title from wba (the leprous ***** of boxing), undefeated in 25 fights, 17 kos, trained by the almighty Teddy-the blabermouth-Atlas and now by an ATG Kostya Tszu, at his physical peak, experienced and yet young.

    Wlad TKO8

I'm not sure Povetkin will be ready before 2018..

This fight has to be made, so everybody will be happy, the ones who said Povetkin is a fraud and the ones who said Wlad is ducking him for years..

from my side, i just belive it when both stand in the ring and the bell rings..

Wlad by violent beatdown, KO 8-9..

Possibly, but this fight needs to happen. Povetkin is one of the guys that Wlad needs to beat to secure his legacy. Fury will be the other...when he's ready. This is the most important HW contest that can be made right now, IMO.

On paper this is a great fight.
Two Olympic champions. Povetkin is unbeaten with the beat resume besides kbros right now. He gets underrated. He is a very good fighter who I think would beat everyone besides haye, this would be a toss up. But wlad will beat him in a good fight by ko

    You are right.

i am not taking anything away from Huck but I honestly believe that Povetkin was in pretty bad condition in that fight..
heh, povetkin was gassed what after 4 rounds? And looked like drunken sailor or something there.:D

That's correct. Something seemed to be wrong with Povetkin that day. He can't be that bad if he has not lost one fight as a Pro yet and earned an Olympic gold medal as an amateur.

Wlad is going to win the fight due to his style. Povetkin won't be able to walk forward and batter him on the inside. Wlad's punches will hurt everyone who is trying to do so. His jab is a class of its own (perhaps the best one in HW history). I would bet that even prime Iron Mike would stop coming straight forward against a prime Wlad. Povetkin just can't play his game against Wlad.

Wlad by vicious KO between round 6 and 10.

    Boxed Ears,

I think some of the interest for a Pulev fight over a Povetkin fight comes done to the fact that Pulev is up and coming, whereas Povetkin already seems to have peaked. Povetkin seemed ready in 2008 after defeating Donald, Byrd, and Chambers. Then he "tripped on a root" while running and injured himself out of the fight. With Povetkin, we have a known commodity, we have a good idea about his maximum potential. Pulev on the otherhand, is more of an unknown, and thus exciting. I realize that this is all very subjective and completely unscientific, but boxing fans are not necessarily logical. That all being said, if Povetkin says he ready, I can't wait for the fight.

Povetkin doesn't have the stamina to last, I think Wlad will knock him out late.
