This guy is so overrated on here. He is the epitome of ghetto trash. If he wasn't a boxer he'd be handing out lavatory mints.
Why the **** are all these threads getting dumped onto the MMA forum? Its the one sub forum I frequent here that isn't filled with trash on a consistent basis.
Well, I would agree that he is an ugly character - in terms of his severe lack of class. Foul-mouthed street level thug. But I wouldn't say he is overrated or a disgrace to the sport. His boxing was superb and his defensive skills legendary. I still watch videos of his and try incorporate some of his techniques in my own training. I can understand people having this opinion of him if you only know him in recent years, with his pathetic foray into MMA. Many people have only known him as a brash character who had a foul attitude, potty mouth who failed miserably in MMA. But don't forget he's a much older and heavier shadow of his former self. In his prime, and even in later years he was a very memorable boxer with a style that few can emulate and he was damn good.
