All I can say is those sentiments and assertions are woefully bereft of any depth or substance, and appear to have just rattled off the top of your head. A "little" more definition? "Slightly" bigger biceps and "that's about it"? There your cred just flew out the window. Just the inability to percieve the changes in the guy's physique alone. And it's clear you didn't read the german newspaper interview, where Herida, in his answers, made it obvious that getting rich by helping wealthy athletes cheat has been a focus of his life since he first started until he got caught, as of that 2008 interview. These grapes are SOUR my friend, I'll be the first to admit it. But, to touch upon the anecdote I gave before, it's like the cops say, the "totality of the evidence". And as a person who's dug into this, that evidence is very compelling. But for a person who just grabs a quick headline here and there, well, evidince schmevidence.
Martinez went 13 rounds with Williams before parking him out in the second round of their rematch. Does that mean he's on PED's too? No, it doesn't. It means he caught his opponent with a perfect punch. Same thing happened here. JMM had been trying that punch on Pac since before this fight too. Pac was just too stupid to a) realise that and b) do anything about it.
We seem to have reached a point now where a boxer can work with a PED expert, try and hide their identity and then get into the best shape of his life at 39 years old (as acknowledged by more or less every media outlet) only for is to be told repeatedly by fans of that fighter that we shouldn't talk about it. ****ing mental. No wonder boxing is the **** tip for PEDS it is, there's virtually no testing, no deterrent, fighters can work with convicted drug suppliers and if anyone says anything about it they're shot down by other fans as 'disrespectful'. Basically the stance of most boxing fans appears to be 'I like this fighter so you're not allowed to talk about the likelihood of him being on PEDS. I'm too interested in this one person to have any serious discussions about PED use in sport, so I'd prefer it if you stop talking about it and allow me to bury my head in the sand'. Well, I've got a suggestion - if you would prefer to ignore the massive issue of PED use in boxing then don't join in the conversations. Just using Marquez as an example here we have a person who: - Hired one of the world's leading PED experts and suppliers - Gets into the absolute shape of his life a 39 years old (to the point eel here the whole of the world's media is talking about it) - Completely flattens an opponent who in 36 previous rounds he could not even knock down. Now, whether you think he's doping or not is one thing. But to tell other people that they shouldn't be discussing the points above in a sport like boxing is ****ing unreal and only shows you care more about one fighter's reputation than the sport as a whole.
It needs to be discussed but the flat-out baseless accusations need to stop. Upset happens? PEDs. Smaller guy wins? PEDs. Streak of good wins? PEDs. It seems to be the de rigueur, catch-all allegation, and it's frankly tiresome to keep reading/hearing the same idiots throw the accusation around every time something happens which they don't like, and for no other reason than that.
Well, we're living in a world where all the experts who matter say that PEDS are rife at top levels of all sports. Throw in he fact that boxing is one of the most corrupt and poorly regulated of all sports in the world, and the light that has been shone on how bad the testing is then it's hardly surprisingly that people are suspicious. You can't blame sports fans for becoming disillusioned with or suspicious of sportsmen given the history of sport. And you can't blame boxing fans given whats happened since some actual drug testing has started taking place in boxing. Sure, some people are going to use it to discredit fighters they don't like, but then they also do that using terms like glass jaw, fraud, ducker etc. That's the nature of forums - it's is t the PED issues' fault that fanboys use it as one of their weapons. These people shouldn't stop people from having a serious discussion about this. There's going to be idiots everywhere.
Maybe. But skills pay the bills. The sequence that got Pacquioa KtFO was always precarious. He ran into a solid shot. Pacquiao makes a lot of mistake and when you make mistakes you pay the price. No excuses!
Yep, slightly bigger biceps and little change, if any, in definition. Check the pictures. His arms and shoulders are slightly bigger, because he trained for 4 months specifically to bulk them for the first time. If you don't think those gains can be made by a top athlete in that timeframe, you don't know what you're talking about. And you talk about others making assertions bereft of substance. Katsidis fight at 135: This content is protected Pacquiao 4 @ 147: This content is protected This content is protected Where are these massive gains you're talking about? He's finally filled out at the weight and it took a long time. There's 3 years + between those pictures. If you don't believe the gains displayed here can be made naturally with intensive weight training, you're an idiot. When JMM starts looking like this, get back to me: This content is protected You clearly didn't even read the majority of my post. All you've got to go on is a guy's past. Like I said, a man's past does not dictate his present actions. Yes, it can be seen as suspicious, but again, there's no proof, and until there is, talking about JMM using PEDs as a fact is wrong of you.
So, playing devil's advocate here . . . How do you know by looking at his body that he's not using EPO?
You're missing the point Shaun. Almost everyone here talking about him taking PEDs, besides you, is using his bodily appearance as 'proof'. The pictures are just there to shoot that **** down.
I see what you're saying, although I don't see how pics of him in the best shape of his life at 39 shoot **** down, but they don't prove anything. But I get you.
I know, and I agree with your point that it's stupid to try to prove or disprove anything by using his appearance. The pictures are just there to highlight the fact that he's not 'huge' in comparison to previous fights, doesn't look like 'the hulk' as all that sensationalist nonsense claimed, that there's actually very little difference in his appearance, and to highlight that those changes absolutely can be made naturally over that long a timeframe by a top athlete. Other arguments, such as Heredia's past, are more apt, but no one can know whether he's a changed man or not. We'll probably never know. I will say though that from reading various articles and comments on his twitter, he does appear to be very knowledgeable in terms of strenght and conditioning and body nutrition. It would be naive and unfair to think that administering PEDs is the ONLY way Heredia could successfully improve a fighter's physique, given his knowledge.
Sensational post !! I agree that Pac WAS coming on, busting up Marquez as well. As for the one punch KO. Pac aggressively moved forward,no head movement, perfectly into a well-placed Marquez counter right cross. Pac was already dropped hard by a looping right cross earlier, so it`s not a stretch to think he could get stopped. Pac,(in going for a definitive conclusion this time) was willing to put himself at greater risk by going for the Ko. End result, he got stopped...
That's it? :conf Personal insult, the last refuge of someone who doesn't have an argument or any valid points to make.
CACA ROACH didn't have much to say from the start. After you repeatedly owned his stupid ass, all he has left is some lame half assed "insult". Must really suck to be as bitter as this CACA ROACH kid.
