    I don't follow :huh

I'm asking if you think boxing testing is sufficient enough, not what Arum or anyone thinks. It's not in a promoters interests to have their fighters testing positive and their cards scrapped, GB soon found this out.

I thought most of the positive results came out of extra testing. Standard testing is still just one urine test directly after the fight, which is a complete waste of time. Your only going to catch someone who has ****ed up their cycle of needed to use a diuretic to cut down water weight for the weigh in.

Funny how when Manny gets starched everyone wants to talk about testing. But when it was bought up by Mayweather during negotiations everyone said he was making excuses. The **** is bad and has been bad for a while now. Boxing has the worst drug testing around, and its the most brutal sport.

It is most definitely insufficient! Boxing needs year round blood and urine testing like Nonito Donaire does voluntarily.

What do you mean? You asked for an opinion and I gave it. Even all these whistle blowing types who like to boast how "everybody is on them and can't be caught" have actually be rather easily caugth themselves and they're supposed to be the best of the best that demand tens of thousands in payments.

Iroinic that you see a no hoper type like Larry O get more or less banned for life for being totally honest and up front as to why he got caught by the BBBC yet then a name fighter like Enzo and an up and comer who's clearly been on the juice for years like Dillian Whyte get merely a few months ban for claiming "they didn't know what they took" by the same org.

The guys I assume you're referring to (such as Conte and Heredia) were able to pass hundreds upon hundreds of all year round randoms blood and urine tests and assist athletes to dozens of Olympic Gold Medals. The only reason they were eventually caught is because another athletics coach sent a syringe of their drug to the testers. The majority of their clients never once tested positive and were instead only busted when their names showed up in lists when the offices were raided.

Boxing's one urine test after a fight is bad to the point that it's barely even worth doing.

Firstly, how do you justify only testing a fighter AFTER they have fought? You think a fighter should be allowed to enter the ring for a fight without having been tested for banned substances?

Secondly, if someone knows when they're going to be tested then it is easy for them to pass the test. Especially when the test takes place at a point where most drugs would be out of their system. All you're going to catch with a post fight urine test are people using recreational drugs, people using diuretics to cut water weight and people who **** up their cycle.

Lamont Peterson was busted by VADA using a form of cheating that would never be caught by standard boxing testing but is perfectly easy to detect. It's almost certain that at least one other fighter will be doing the exact same thing and getting away with it. Morales failed numerous VADA tests yet his post fight test never came back positive. Holyfield was busted buying growth hormone and steroids, yet never failed one test. Mosley admitted to doping in his rematch with De La Hoya yet his test was clean. How can you believe boxing testing is sufficient if it can't even detect a very common way of cheating in combat sports?

Well then what you're looking for is never going to work especially in the cut throat extreme version of capitalism that boxing basically has it's foundations built on. The only way to truly combate the problem would be to have one governing body in charge of the entire sport which obviously will never happen. Your best hope then would be to hope something like the WSB takes off in major way.

I still fell the problem is something that doesn't happen at the top level as much as people like to report. Certainly not amongst those that fight at least 3 times a year. It's the no hoper types like Peterson and Wach that don't really surprise me tbh, men who have nothing to lose who make drastic improvements. If you have a fighter fighting for World titles/defending them regualry each year I don't think there using. too much risk, not enough reward.

    Very true.
I see countless posts here everyday about how PEDs should be legalized to make it an even field. That is the most ******ed idea ESB could come up with.
Boxing is hardly composed of only professional fighters. These fans seem to think the boxing community extends to a small circle of popular pro boxers and don't realize today's prospects and amateurs are part of the foundation of the sport.
If PEDs are legalized, how in the **** would amateurs and prospects compete when they know full well fighters above them are enhanced to the max via PEDs?
There's no way a proper system could be set up where everyone benefits from legalizing PEDs.

They already are top dog. The have their millions in the bank under several endorsement contracts with more millions coming in win or lose. Why bother to jeopardise that?
