He should fight Cloud because he can beat him, get the rust off, and confidence back or Stevenson who's IBF mandatory and needs to get out of the way. Pascal seems to have some shoulder problems so if fit, he can get him while he's rusty, but I believe style-wise is all wrong for Bute. Kessler would be a war, but I still think can do good against him.

 

Lucian Bute should fight Carl Froch now, not Jean Pascal. If he loses, then he can fight Pascal.
If he wins, he'll have better options than Pascal. I'm convinced he has already rebuilt his morale.

 

Cloud has a fight against Hopkins, no?
Stevenson has a fight against Oosthuizen if Froch lets his title down.
Pascal has an agreement with Dawson for March.
If bute doesn't face Froch, Kessler will.

The only one available is Ward.

 

Ward is not available, he had a fight with Pavlik scheduled for January but I think it was postponed for February or March.

 

So, who then?

 

Are there any news regarding the Froch-Bute rematch?

 

Eddie Hearn said to get Kessler over,they'd have to do PPV and Sky say that's a no-no right now.
Could Interbox afford to get Kessler over?

 

Yeah, but I don't think Kessler would want to/have to travel anyway. I am sure Bute would be happy to travel to Denmark...

...but the whole point is that if Kessler vs. Froch doesn't happen in spring, there's no reason why Froch vs. Bute cannot happen in spring.

I think regarding his face the picture is a bit misleading because the colors seem ******ed, I don't remember him being so marked.

Bute will have to wait in fall to face Froch again , they were talkin to face him in Marsh but since Froch will probably face Kessler next then Bute his left without any opponent so they will be pushing the date for May for the next Bute fight.

With Ward-Pavlik , Pascal-Dawson 2 , Bhop-Cloud , Bute have no really good options.

He should be careful with the choice of his next opponent .
