it ain't even close- floyd = top 50 atg easily most likely top 35 Pryor not even close to top 50....short prime, not enough big wins
Floyd beat DLH while DLH was still in his prime. He still had it, just didn't have enough. He also beat Hatton in his prime, he beat Cotto in ihs prime. Cotto might not be an ATG or he might be depending on what he does with his career. Oscar was an ATG even if not a high ranking ATG. Pacquiao has beat Marquez and Barrera in their primes and both are ATG. Pacquiao beat DLH but DLH had nothing left by that point.
Delahoya was not in his prime at 154. 135-147 were his best weights ad where he was of an age and condition you could call prime. Hatton ok I'll give you that. That was a peaked version of Hatton just about and mayweather solved that problem. Cotto Please! Shop worn and plodding Cotto was actually doing well which only shows that Mayweather must be declining to look so bad against a guy that got destroyed by Pacquiao a few years back.
floyd has been retired for quite some time now, he hasnt tested himself since fighting DLH five years ago. even then, DLH was well removed from his peak.
Pryor was a case of could of been. I don't see him as a solid ATG fighter. Cervantes and 2 Arguello fights mainly? Great wins but Benitez already beat Cervantes and Alexis was a good win I admit. No one did that to Alexis, but I am not sure it means strong ATG. If you put the 140 pound Arguello high in the ranking maybe. Alexis was on the downside of his career for sure.
I don't think Floyd is that high in the ranking. But without looking up Pryor's record. he was pretty much had a title for 5 years. The name Manley comes up but forget the circumstances. Memory is funny. Aaron is not higher than Floyd. He didn't fight and beat Leonard or Hearns (professional) or Duran. Had he beaten Duran and Arguello that would been something.
Alex Arguello won 77 (KO 62) + lost 8 (KO 4) + drawn 0 Antonio Cervantes won 91 (KO 45) + lost 12 (KO 2) + drawn 3 = 10 . Anyone think these are ordinary wins?
I have Floyd ranked higher than him but h2h it would be a very close fight. Hell, prime Pryor would be competitive against any 140lber I've ever seen.
