http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/20747975 Seems to me Khan is doing his usual and looking too far ahead, yes i get he wants a title and wants to avenge a loss but for now he should be focused on Virgil and his own game rather than going too far down the line. He has overlooked opponents his entire career, hasnt worked too well so far.
I think to a certain extent he can overlook the caliber of opponent he will take on before Garcia, his mistake was overlooking a fighter with the quality of Peterson and Garcia at a clash with Mayweather,
He will never be ready for that level hes better off beating blown up lightweights on espn he can still make a decent living!
These "Khan is looking too far ahead" accusations are getting ****ing ridiculous now. First it was because he was looking past an opponent (fair enough), but now they're shitting on him for looking past...wait for it... a training session :rofl. He's chasing a fight with a puncher who's knocked him out, instead of featherfisted bums that you guys complain about. What's the problem?
It's because it's Khan, he's not been this hated since just before and after the Prescott fight. Just the other day some ****** made your typical 'con man glass jaw' thread and seemed to actually be angry at the fact that Khan said he would beat Garcia in a rematch atsch
Read the link, he is not looking past 'a training session' he is looking past his next fight, talking himself up as a champ-after fighting against a dragged up in weight, light puncher. He needs to concentrate on the now-not chase other fighters, given his current situation. Wow anyone who raises valid points Khan is A0Racist B)Stupid or C) a 'hater' or d)less worthy than anyone else here No wonder i stopped posting here
He is looking past his next fight? Who is his next fight? Rico makes a very valid point. Could understand if Khan had signed to fight someone and was yapping about Garcia but at the moment he's looking for an opponent.
If he fghts Garcia within his next couple of fights, he will get TKO'd again. More than likely KO'd brutaly. He should take it easy and absorb what Virgil is teaching him to the utmost before he steps back in there with Garcia.
Keep that right hand strapped to the side of his head, and only throw the jab and occasional 1,2 while circling to Garcias right the whole 12 rounds. Khan UD 120-108 If he can be disciplined enough it's do-able
The fact that he is looking past that April date at all is wrong for Khan. Deal with things one fight at a time, one camp at a time, focusing on your adjustments in the now, not chasing fights you havent earned as yet
I cant wait till he catches up so we can see another hillarious display of shattered glass once he gets caught by Swift again. :deal
