Wladimir is stopping this fight going ahead not Povektin.

Wlad is looking for a special permit to postpone the fight and his manager has stated they will take the fight when they are ready.

This is a qoute from Povektin's mananger

"Hrunov said that talks would begin in earnest after Ukrainian WBA super, IBF and WBO champion Klitschko’s title defense against Poland’s Mariusz Wach on November 10.

“After that fight negotiations will start, the position of Klitschko and the WBA will be clear,” Hrunov said, warning that Klitschko could still be upset by Wach, who has a 27-0 record.

Povektin hasn't the power to not fight his mando, Wlad does. If Povektin refused he would be stripped on the spot. Wlad has been avoiding it for years and thats why WBA are pushing him hard to take the fight.

"povetkin is not a true champion, he’s the same [as everyone else], a normal contender. We will not allow anyone to force us to do anything.”—Klitschko’s manager Bernd Boente.

After fighting Thompson, Mormek and Wach that statment is a complete joke.

Povektin is a world title holder and has been his no.1 mandatory challenger for 3 years.

Povektin mightn't stand a chace but he is still a decent boxer with a good counter punching and in-fighting ability and would be the hardest fight for Wlad in a long time. That worries him.

I really don't understand how anyone thinks Povetkin even has a chance against Wlad. I don't see Povetkin easily slipping past Wlad's jab, and I don't think he has the power to put Wlad on his ass even if he did.

Yeah... Klitschko could still be upset by Wach at November 10, 2012 and then the fight can't happen. :-((

That was over 3 years ago. WBA are pushing Wlad , not Povektin.

and??he walked away twice from the fight.but wlad dosnt want it??

if they are looking a deadline extension it will have something to do with the tv dates and on waiting for vitalis mind being made up about retireing so they can sort out tv dates..wlad wants to take povotkins 0 before anyone else gets there..and thats a fact..povotkin vs wlad will happen

just like vitali vs haye will happen if he dosnt walk off into the sunset

He's been taking voluntary defences instead of fighting his number 1. WBA aren't waiting on the challenger, they are waiting on the champ. Thats why they are not allowing him take a special permit to get out of the fight.

TV has nothing to do with it. Vitali is practically retired. Nobody is working a schedule around him.

Im not making this up. The proof is there.

Povetkin will 'come to his senses' and avoid the fight.

Nice little illusion he has going ends after knockout loss.

    Troll, Brittard or both?

Wlad won the Titel in July 2011 one month before Povetkin won the regular titel against Chagaev, so how is he avoiding him for years you dumbass?

He was mandatory for 3 years?? ok so why didnt he took his chancees, Povetkin had 2 chances, first he was injured (really^^) , second he was not ready and didnt come to the press conference

and the third time, I tell you what, he has no balls to get in the ring with Wlad, remeber my words :deal

Almost 4 years ago. That has no bearing on today. The qoutes are all there. You're not arguing with me on this. Can you understand that?
