The final Marquez-Pacquiao poll - who won the rivalry?

It is almost accpted universally that Pacquiao has the better legacy, career and ranking then Marquez, thats not really up for the debate. But as far as the series between the 2 of them, thats a whole diffrent debate.

You said Pacquiao was older in this match up when he got KOed, you are correct but lets not forget that Marquez was even older still.

 

pacquiao. juan could only beat pacquiao one time, and it was against a faded, arguably shot pacquiao that had just lost to Bradley.

that manny who came to the fourth fight was one of the best mannys we've seen. He still couldn't get a convincing victory over Juan eve at his best. Over the hill Juan knocks his ass out

 

older in years but not older in ring wars. Manny always fought that high level and JMM fought lesser level and then jumped up and fought Mayweather or Manny in recent years. Who would be more ringworn? Same reason Leonard came back to fight Hagler,Hearns and Duran later in the 1980s. By that point they were much more ringworn than he was which still didn't help him with Hearns. I give JMM credit for the win, but the age is irrelevent. Manny has fought everyone at the top in all divisions.

 

Juan has been in just as many wars than Manny has.

So true. Manny was a BEAST in their 4th fight. Much as i hate to say it, he was on his way to stopping Juan before he got detonated. His movement and feinting were causing Juan to throw, then he was getting countered HARD. The counterpuncher was getting counterpunched. He was getting clobbered and hurt

Juan was also noticeably slower, which against Manny, usually spells death

But like a true G, the 39 year old warrior kept his composure, kept looking for it, then found the bomb that shocked the world

That was a beast of a Pacquiao in there, and id love to see it vs Mayweather

 

He's been in more. Manny's cherrypicking saw to it that in a lot of his fights he took next to no punishment

I never understand the myth that "Manny's been in many wars"

 

I have it a draw 2-2. Marquez probably gets the edge due to having the KO over Pacquiao though.

 

Whereas now Manny is shot and JMM is at his peak...

 

I have it 2-1-1 in favor of JMM. He also has the most emphatic victory.

 

Manny beat him 3 times and was cheated in this last fight

 

JMM is smarter and will have his money in 10 years, and probably would have made some wise investments, while Pac continues to get robbed by everyone around him and conitnues to buy helipcopters and other useless **** that doesn't produce money.
