..definately at some stage before the fight..random would be the best way..and not just PEDS..speed/meth is probably a bigger issue.. ..and yes Anton..good point..that is the stumbling block..who's gunna pay???
The other problem:- If a boxer is found to be on anything when fighting in Queensland (if it implemented drugs test) but the boxer is registered in NSW, Vic, SA or WA......what action can those States take without Legislation & its Rules and Regulations? Don't forget, each illegal substance needs to be listed, so when testing...where does one start & finish? And I dare say the list would most likely have to be reviewed & updated each week.
yes they should before fight. but how long does it take for a test to get back as closer to fight the better & each manager, promotor should pay the cost. the guy getting his head punched for years should not pay. cheers guys
Ideally drug tested randomly in the months leading up to a fight and even randomly throughout the year when they don't have any fights scheduled.
That's only done in US & done so in world title fights. I'm sure you would've noticed local commission's rep in each corner during 1 minute break.
I watched the Pryor / Argullero rematch a few days ago , not as good as the first one but would still **** all over anything we see these days .
