McCall was a very tough journeyman, a sparring partner for top fighters. His only real talents were his physical strength and an ability to absorb hard blows. He was a decent puncher.
He was visibly prone to frustration. Glimpses of what he did in his 'breakdown' fight with Lewis can be seen in previous fights. He simply couldn't box much at all.
Lewis was a disgrace to lose to someone like McCall in the first place, really.

McCall could go 12 rounds with Tyson, in a stupidly one-sided fight that would get very boring as it dragged on.

Just because hew as a sparring partner for Tyson doesnt mean he goes the distance. Carl Williams Jesse Ferguson, Mike Jameson all Tyson sparring partners, all stopped within the distance. Maybe Mcall survives but he does nothing to Tyson. He didnt have the skill set. Just a good chin and sparring partner mentaility.

He had zero respect for Lennox Lewis went out there and threw his best righthand and it landed. That all changed in the second fight when Mcall realized quickly he was vastly outclassed.

Yes, though I think McCall takes fewer shots than Ruddock (whose defence was hopeless) and lands fewer shots as well. I also don't see Tyson dropping McCall; he'd stick to a gameplan of landing lots of clean shots without getting off balance and opening up too much.

The end result is the same: a wide decision win for Tyson.

Russell, do you really think that Lewis was throwing his best shots at McCall in that rematch? I mean, honest to God Golota or Botha destroying punches? Never mind the kind that knocked Rahman cold..or the shots he did in Tyson with..I don't think he did. He had that "caution switch" on. He could have hit McCall harder.

McCall may have a great chin but he was never stopped because he didnt take chances. Even at his best he usually only fought hard for a few rounds, more often than not they were late rounds when he was well behind on points.

So, no, McCall couldnt hang with a prime Tyson which is why he was a sparring partner during Tyson's prime and not a top contender.

Prime Tyson would crack Mccall with some wicked combinations and give him a real thrashing, Mccall could survive if he fights in survival mode though. :bbb

I think that some of those punches he landed on McCall were some of the hardest he ever landed, and were all the more brutal because McCall didn't see them coming. At one point, McCall charged and Lewis hit him with a beautiful uppercut. McCall charged again, and got uppercutted HARD again, without so much as wobbling!

McCall was one of those once-in-a-generation tough guys.

Prime Tyson would eventually grind McCall down and stop him.
Though Tyson didn't have the one punch firepower that Lewis
possesses he put his punches together so much more efficiently.
Tyson's combination punches were second only to Joe Louis
when power AND speed are combined.
I see McCall being tough early in the fight, however as the
fight dragged on, and Tyson's relentless aggression and
combo punching would eventually wear McCall down
and out. Forcing the ref to stop the contest with in 10
    rds.

This. McCall would just take too many punches.
