Don't think he is that good myself.

 

Watched that fight 3 times .no way did hall beat spike.was catchin norhing but arms and gloves.
Spike literally trained for two weeks for that fight also

Would prefer Murray v Macklin but we just need to see how Murray does against Martinez. I expect him to lose but can see him being competitive for a while.

 

Dont see Fielding going past Brittish level, if he gets that far. Quite poor IMO.

 

Rocky is quite deceiving. He's big for a Super middleweight, has a long reach, good power and he can manage the range very well. He's been with Oliver Harrison for a while now and he's constantly improving with each fight. He's coming along very nicely and I can't see no reason why he can't go beyond British level. He's only had 12 fights and three of them where on the same night!

 

I disagre i think hes average at best.

 

Fair enough, just have to see how he progresses.

Who do you think could topple him at this level now?

 

Yeah im not totally righting him off, he is still learning. But up to now im not impressed at all. He dosent look comfortable to me.

Hes tall and has a decent jab, keeps his hands too low and frows shots from his waist. I dont think he has good power at all, despite the PF run, which was against poor opponents. He dosent look like he hits 168 well with his frame, not much structure. The thing is though i think by putting abit more muscle on adding to his strength he will get blasted out up at LHW. So i think hes abit stuck.

I dont rate Paul Smith either but he is a level above Fielding although hes been around alot longer, and id expect both him and Anderson to stop him.

 

None of them really get me that excited out of the ones that are supposed to be world class. Darren Barker is the most talented, for skill and speed.

Murray is certainly the biggest.

Macklin or Lee probably punch hardest, I'd lean towards Lee as I think he gets a little more leverage on his shots.

Macklin has the highest work-rate and probably the overall best performances so far so he's a tiny bit ahead, not by much though. It's probably between him and Barker. I think Murray really challenges Macklin though, maybe beats him, but I don't think he'd beat Barker.

BJS, Ryder etc are still prospects and not in the same discussion as yet. Ryder certainly pulled something out of the bag that was more impressive than BJS has ever done the other night. Etches I've seen live and he's a bit stiff but can punch. Needs to work on his head movement and overall explosiveness. Needs a lot of polishing.

 

Yeah, I don't think Murray could take the play away from Barker in the same way that he possibly could against Macklin.

I think in order to have any success against Barker he'd have to come forward, which against better fighters isn't really his game at all. He's not going to stand in front of him the way that Sturm did at times (despite this I had Sturm ahead at the end).

Macklin's aggression might be his undoing in this one - I could either see him putting it on Murray and getting him out of there in the middle rounds, or being made to look awful and losing a clear-ish decision.
