He's boxed his way through the sport the hard way.

Jumped up two weight divisions and beat two strong WW opponents.

It's unfair to him if someone like Canelo gets a shot at the #1 welterweight.

Canelo hasn't done anything to warrant a fight against Mayweather. A lot of people talk about his size and power but that means nothing if you haven't got the resume credentials to back it up.

Especially if you look at the guys available at 147-154.
I dont have a problem with Guerrero. I heard somewhere that he went broke paying bills for his wives cancer therapy so he needs that check.

I wanted to see Alvarez but hey...I get it. It's better to end the year with Alvarez. And Guerrero moved up to ww, beat two ranked fighters has a belt, he's ranked in the P4P and recently named fighter of the year. Then you add in a great story with his family...I don't have a problem with this. The only people that have an issue with this are Pacquiao fans. The same guy that fought Clottey (coming off a loss, with no belt) and Margarito (coming a loss by KO, suspension and having NO BOXING LICENSE and both of these fighters were UNRANKED!!!) and had the nerve to have these fights on PPV...really?

 Dude, you can stop trying to legitimise Guerrero as an opponent for Floyd. GBP have already bumped his P4P rankings and have made him the best fighter of the year :rofl. Besides, there's not much for Floyd to choose from, to be fair. I think a lot of people understand that.

I am happy with it, and am 99% sure it will be Floyd vs Guerrero and Canelo vs Maybe Trout on the same card.

I head schafer in an interview and although he didnt want to give much away he made out that the card would be very very stacked. Canelo and Floyd on the same card would bring a huge Fanbase. Even if they are not fighting each other.

I am also Happy for Guerrero to get a shot at the P4p King, but then also get a much deserved Payday.

guerrero is a good fight, no doubt. but there are better opposition to take. @154 martinez or canelo. at welter a rematch with marquez or finaly pacquiao. guerrero seems like the less risky. not very athletic like martinez or big puncher like canelo.

Exactly, Guerrero is AVERAGE at everything he does.

If Floyd was going to take on a guy like this, he could have at least taken on Bradley who is at least GOOD at everything he does, but great at nothing.

It's not the greatest "event" but it's a good test to see what mayweather has left.
PAC fans act like mayweather is in his prime or something.
I also don't understand how they have this small list of fighters that mayweather should fight but don't hold PAC to the same standards.
PAC faught clottey , old Shane , lww Tim Bradley, old jmm and had lww rios lined up for April , pacturds have no problem with this at all.
Yet Floyd in there eyes needs to fight canelo, Martinez or PAC, all good fights but hold PAC to the same standards you set for his rival!

Rios vs pacquiao in April? Pacturds still remember this right?
So what's wrong with mayweather vs Guerrero?
