Diaz is more of a threat to GSP than Conditt because GSP uses a lot of wrestling. GSP could get caught out of nowhere by Diaz's BJJ. Stand up is going to be interesting Diaz has an average stand up game and his boxing is unorthodox, GSP is probably better than him with stand up because he mixes his strikes. Overall, I'm going for GSP UD.

I'm looking forward to this fight. Really like GSP, really hate Diaz. (But still enjoy watching him fight.)

Hopefully it plays out exactly like Bendo-Nate. Dominant beatdown where Diaz loses every round on all cards, but still threatens with submissions. Although I'd like GSP to stop Nick in the fourth or fifth, preferably with strikes. :smoke

Either way, it's a good fight. Hendricks would have been good too, but I can see the appeal of GSP/Diaz as well. Just REALLY hope that Diaz the dickish moron doesn't dethrone one of the true greats and class acts of the sport. :good

I think the only way GSP stops him is on cuts. Diaz is too tough and in too good a shape.

What I would hope is for GSP not to call out Condit for a rematch after He beats Diaz.

Its time to give the belt to Hendricks. Hes had his run and He can still get the Silva "superfight" if He wants to.

This was a big time douche move to skip Hendricks and had the Diaz fight not resonate $$ for Dana, he wouldn't have let it happen. As it is, Danas thinking "hey, this ain't so bad".

Yeah it's not likely is it. :good

But, GSP does legitimately hate Nick Diaz. There's always the chance that he'll actively want to pound his face into a bloody mess. He may be more violent in this fight that we're used to seeing him. I mean, he didn't stop Kos after the TUF season, but he did bust him up bad. A lot worse than he usually does to his opponents, anyway. :yep

I think Diaz is getting seriously overlooked by the MMA public. I saw on one site he was a 5-1 dog, thats just too much IMO.

Diaz Chael Sonnened his way into this fight. GSP is going to dominate him. I am a big Diaz fan too, but he's got absolutely no answer for GSP on the ground, and GSP is too skillful on his feet, with too good of footwork for Diaz's boxing to trouble him standing.

Bendo vs Nate is an excellent study if you want to get a taste of what this fight will look like.
