This list always enthrals me in MMA, so much to consider in producing a full top 10 P4P.

Theres been a lot of movement in the last 6 months, and some in-activity, how is your top 10 looking guys ?

    4- Jose Aldo
    5- Junior dos Santos
    6- Benson Henderson

    8- Frankie Edgar

    9- Demetrious Johnson
    10-
    a) Renan Barao
    b) Gilbert Melendez
    c) Carlos Condit

    Good list. :good

The only guy I see as being out of place there is Hendo. I wouldn't have him that high. He's an ATG, but current Hendo is 42, inactive, coming off an injury, and in his last fight (more than a year ago) he went life and death with Shogun. Who Gustafsson recently dealt with a lot easier. :good

Gustafsson may have dealt with him easier, but I'd say Hendo gave him a lot more problems.

Shogun looked better in the Gus fight than he did in the Hendo fight, bar the last round. But, he also looked better against Gus than he did against Vera, so I'm not really sure it matters.

No Hendo because he is a Contender, and Gil Melendez is edged by teammate Nick Diaz.

JJ looks to be more of a force than GSP (Rankings do change on a monthly basis).

Yeah Shogun did quite well against Gustafsson. It took a while for Gus to settle into his groove. Maybe part of that was the pressure of his first really big "I am now a legit title contender" fight. :good

Still, aside from a couple of dodgy moments in the first, Gus never really looked too troubled by Shogun's attacks. Hendo was half dead from exhaustion in the 4th and 5th, and Shogun couldn't finish him. Gotta figure that Gustafsson would have finished stronger in that scenario. :good

No disrespect to Hendo, obviously - the man is a true legend of the sport. But current Hendo? I have trouble putting a 42 year old injury-ridden guy who hasn't fought in a year in the middle of the top-10 p4p list. In fact I rate current Machida to beat more fighters than current Hendo. :good We'll see about that in a couple of months though.

Good to see Condit getting some love too - that guy is a real fighter who I think may a little underappreciated.

Question regarding him is - if Rory beats him quite soundly in their rematch - as I think he will - where would that put Rory in the p4p conversation? :blood

Not even close, IMO. The PERFECT example: Jake Shields climbed his way to the top of the welterweight division, undefeated for 6 years, was ranked P4P in most rankings I saw. Lost to St. Pierre (Condit). Then Jake Ellenberger steamrolls through Shields and was never considered in P4P discussion.

    8. Lyoto Machida
    9. Renan Barao
    10. Carlos Condit

Im sorry guys i cannot concur, Cruz deserves a spot in the top 10, when this guy is right he's in the very top echelon of the sport, there's nobody below him in my list who i feel should sit above him based on in-activity!

Demetrious Johnson doesnt make the list for me

The list of notables is endless so here it is!

Not sure i understand the concept of "roll the dice" between these two

Condit outclassed him, battered his front leg, and generally beat him in every aspect of MMA apart from marching forward, he took 4 of the 5 rounds decisively
