Froch fight wasnt boring, neither was the Dawson fight. Both master classes. One Ward beat Froch with his jab and when Froch got testy Ward took it with a smile and gave it right back. Against Dawson that right hand was a Beaut.

There will never be another Tyson. Doesnt mean you can't get paid. Ward keeps winnin, refininf his style and moving up in weight he'll make the big bucks

Mayweather came out of the olympics being compared to Sugar Ray Leonard with power in both hands. Had a 70% ko percentage at the weight. He was already a trash talker well before the Gatti fight. He didnt star seein he big bucks for nearly a decade. It takes time in this boxing climate. Ward stays undefeated he'll see the money. Given he doesnt have any great rivals around his weight class could hurt him. If Dirrell gets his career on track i see I a fight down the line between the two doing decent pay per view numbers.

Floyds marketability has always been his 0. His mouth his merely complimentary to that.

The Froch fight was Froch's most boring fight in the last many years. It was Ward's least boring fight in years... that says a lot about their normal stadards of entertainment.

The Dawson fight was also less boring from Ward. Not very entertaining, but less dirty than usual and less holding.

The Kessler fight was ok for about 3 rounds then Ward turned it into a boring, very ugly, and dirty fight.
The Abraham fight was just boring except in short spurts (where AA woke up).
The Green fight was extremely boring. If there was a worst fight of the year this would certainly have won it. Ward was so scared of Allan that he just held and smothered the entire night, and Allan just waited for some distance that never came.. pathetic stuff.

Id expect this from a general public, non boxing fan.

I dont expect it from someone who posts regularly on a boxing site.

You want entertaining fights like that, go watch bums fight in a car park for 5 bucks a head

Outside of Taylor dropping him and him winning by last second ko that fight was pretty lacksidasical. Dirrell fight wasnt exciting. His fight with Glen Johnson was run of he mil.I'd out the Ward fight above those. The first 7 rounds before Ward broke his hand were like watching someone beat down the neighborhood bully. Watching a rough fighter like Froch looking to Smoger to save him with dispair in his eyes is somehing you won't see often.

Agreed. Even though Ward dominated Kessler being your typical robotic european fighter and Ward still being green the fight was pretty mundane. I believe in a rematch Ward will stay on the outside and let his hands to more.

Ward scared.:rofl nah son, Green said he'd bully Ward up to he fight. Said he was the stronger man. Ward was making a statement.

:lol: You've got a way with words, I'll give you that :good

Ward-Froch wasn't Hopkins-Calzaghe bad, but it wasn't very entertaining either. Fairly one sided and comprehensive win for Ward. Ward-Dawson was poor, but it's not Ward's fault Dawson was dead at the weight.

One thing is though, look at all Ward's fights, has he ever had a fight, or will he ever have a fight as good as Froch-Kessler?

As for his next fight, I think Ward will attack Pavlik, and cut him up, Kelly's corner will pull him out by the 10th round.

Remember Ward is still a young cat. Lots of room to grow and improve. Atleast 2 years away from his prime.

Ok, the Dirrell fight was not entertaining, I agree. The Glen Johnson fight was probably worse than the Ward fight because while Froch didn't show any spark in either one Ward at least shows class at times. But it is definitely not among Froch's most exciting fights.

If Ward can let his hands go more, and his head less, and also stop the holding.. then it should be a good fight. I think Ward pulled out all the tricks because he thought it would be necessary. It turned out that his style had Kessler somewhat confused and maybe (who knows) he could have beaten Kessler fair and square and looked good doing it. On the other hand Judah looked like he was beating Mayweather after 4 rounds... so after those headbuts the rest I don't count because Kessler was clearly concussed and bleeding and so on.

Against Green, I don't think Ward made any statement rather than "I can hug you for 12 rounds and your long arms cannot punch as well as I can while we are hugging...." Not much of a statement. A statement is what Kessler did to Green. Ward should be able to box with Allan and beat the crap out of him... no need to hug the fight to sleep.

Thought Froch vs Kessler was overrated. It was a great fight for the first 6 or so rounds with Froch being the boxer and Kessler being the stalker.

Then both fighters seem to gas at the pace and it turned more into a slapping war than a war with technique. Looked cool but werent many hard clean punches being landed in the exchanges.

Expect the 2nd contest to be alot beter with a decisive victory for Froch.

When i watch Ward vs Bika and a war torn Froch i can only imagine what a peak Eubank would've done to Ward!

Agreed, I think Froch will win a close but clear decision. He could possibly get a late stoppage if he catches Kessler sweet like Green did, then puts the pressure on

What's happening with Dirrell by the way? Is he fighting again soon? I think he's still got a lot to give, he dominated Abraham who managed to go on and win a strap
