Despite being a huge fan of both Froch and Kessler, I can't see either of them doing that well in a rematch, but I don't see much opposition up at 175 either. Who do you think has a chance at giving Andre some competition?
Let's see him fight a non weight drained zombie dawson at 175 in Dawson's hometown. Let's see him fight a high volume puncher like cleverly who throws at angles. Let's see him testing himself at a division he hasn't cleared out at home. Froch in Nottingham if he stays at 168
Yeah I think if he fights any other champions at LW he should move up, not force them to come down to 168. I'd like to see Froch and Kessler rematches too, I just don't think they'd win.
Really, watch the rematch between Benard - Dawson. It's sad to see people that can't appreciate Ward for the brilliant boxer that he is.
I think in 2013 Ward's team will realize that the 160lbers ain't going to move up to 168 to fight him so... 175 should be the next frontier for him.
i know he won gold a lhw but that's not the same as prizefighting at lhw. so i guess it would be more of a challenge to move up and fight bigger guys. however, i just don't see anyone at all at smw/lhw beating him. he'll make money if he wants to prove a point by going to froch and kessler's backyards and beating them just as bad.
Pascal or Cloud. There are no more challenges at super middleweight. ...of course, either of those are likely co-main events for Mayweather vs. Martinez at 160.
I would still like to see Ward against Bute. Ward seemed to want to avoid Bute, I expect there was a good reason for this, as Bute can punch and has foot work, as well as those serious body shots. Otherwise it would have to be Kessler in Denmark or old Froch in Britain. If he goes to LHW then it would be Cleverly
The ONLY acceptable fights for Ward are: Froch vs Kessler II winner in their backyard at 168 Dawson at 175
How is a rematch of a guy he punked acceptable at 175, but Cloud and Pascal (both superior to current Dawson, who can only blame so much on weight drain) wouldn't be?
