Matthyse is being built up into some sort of unbeatable monster which he isn't. He has a significant dig on him but thats not everything, just ask Earnie Shavers

He couldn't even stop a "Shot" Judah some thing feather fisted arm puncher did.
Though he would favoured to stop Khan.

Nothing stopping him fighting in March July and November, he cant be taking boxing seriously if it is not first in his life.

 Exactly, man. They're forgetting the man lost to Alexander and Judah. Yeah, he could have got the nod against both, but in no way was he some crazy beast in them fights. Solid fighter clearly, but no world beater.

****in' people were going crazy about Khan fighting Soto but when Matthysse fights him and knocks him out, it's all "oh ****, this guy's a killer" while forgetting Soto had damn fought next to nobody and was a lightweight!

Would you not agree his lateral movement is getting better though Laz?
He was pretty tailor-made for Khan a while back but he seems to be improving fairly significantly.

I don't remember much, but I think it was better. I actually just remembered that he fought Olusegun.

May watch that fight again tonight but I think what 'improvements' we may see is also down to his opposition. Just like Khan, when they're in with a guy that is a kryptonite of their styles, they don't look all too great. (Khan - big punchers) (Matthysse - boxers with better ability).

With that said, Matthysse and Khan are basically kryptonite's of each other which would just make the fight a perfect one. The ol' boxer versus the puncher.. can't beat it.

Its extremely rare i agree with Lazarus, but he's right, Matthyse is getting ****in ridiculous hype, essentially he is a "walk in - tuck up" fighter, who throws short power shots inside with a good solid set of whiskers, his power is coming on, i will say that, and just lately he's looked pretty strong. But hes limited!

I do however have a bug to bear with Khan supporters in general, and i say the term Khan supporters specifically, because there does seem to be an alarming amount of Amir Khan fans who generally dont know the wider landscape of boxing too well! Lazarus im not saying this is you BTW, and the constant comparisons or referrals to Khan as being "elite" ****s me off worse than my wife! the kid isnt elite, and i say this as a fan of his, he is not elite!

Carl Froch - "your not supposed to get knocked out in boxing, if your getting knocked out your doing something fundamentally wrong"

Khan is never going to be elite.
It also depends on what you believe elite is.
Is/was Cotto elite how about Timothy, Carl Froch etc.

Its the same with Garcia and Morales......Khan is down to fight him and he's a grave robbing *******, Garcia does it and he's a beast...or at the very least gets a massive pass.

BTW mate, on your avi whats the ribbon thing stitched into Khans left arm?

he don't need to rematch peterson. Just Garcia.

Also, if he knows what's good for his career... stay the **** away from Matthysse

So in April fight another opponent, this time someone in his own weightclass... ideally would be peterson - because he hasn't really got a big punch. but don't see khan giving him a payday again. and GoldenBoy dislike Peterson too. So get someone with a bit of a name at 140 in April, then go for Garcia later in the year

My own personal categorisation of boxers and there standing in the landscape of the sport is as follows:

Elite - Multi division world champions/dominant world champions
World Class - World champion level with accomplished wins
Contender - Done everything expected to warrant a fight for a world title
Prospect - In experienced guys with clear ability
    Gate Keeper - Self explanatory
    Journey Man - Self explanatory

My current eilte list of fighters in the world reads off as follows; Mayweather, Martinez, Ward, Pacquiao, Donaire, Marquez (in no particular order)

Thats just the way i see it, people tend to use the term elite with lesser regard, and thats why i said "elite" in this context! based on my current tier system Khan would be placed in between World Class and Contender!
