I've been following Povetkin's career since amateurs. He fought stellar opposition under the tutelage of Belov, his former trainer. Then his camp faked an injury, walking out of a staggering 3.3$ payday against Wlad, fired Belov and hired Atlas. Once Atlas came into the picture, he initiated a string of unprepared, mediocre opponents such as Oruh, Mora, and the likes.

After dropping Atlas, Povetkin only fought one obviously easy fight, against the mandatory Rahman. Rahman had no place in the ring, and for that you can thank the ***** of a federation, WBA, but not Povetkin himself.
