Most embarrassing or worst display by an Aussie fighter on the world stage?

There is a lot of difference between hanging around your old mans gym and being in actual fights, Ottke had over 300 amateur fights I believe?? To even compare Choc being a "well schooled fighter" to what Ottke had done is pointless.

 

ottke had an outstanding amateur career and took quite a few scalps that turned out to be big big names.

Yes he did well against someone with far more experience and apparently a glittering amateur background. So it wasn't an embarassment but after what he said about Ottke hitting like a girl and his 9-11 comments people got a laugh out of it.

 

well, as far as ottke is concerned, no he didnt make a goose of himself. his corner did. 13 seconds to pull a mouthguard from an unconcious fighter!!

his 911 coments were.

his dribble of cliches and the english language is embarrasing.

his congo list of has beens is and was enbarrasing.

his bul**** that boxing isnt 'harum' (unclean) in the koran is embarrasing to real muslims.

beating geale would also be embarrasing.

the most manly thing he can do is get KTFO vs geale and retire.

..but me..I'm neutral when it comes to Mundine..I'm dissapointed he put the dollar before his boxing legacy..but I'm a mercenry in my profession..I chase the bucks too..so I don't hold it against him..
..and I met him one time and i thought he was a very respectful person and a decent bloke..:thumbsup

 

even the dudes in the tent embassy have a sense of humour, they put a big picture of the prone mundine on the wall to give them a chuckle.

and some of u think he is a selfish so and so.

 

I have heard similar from 4 people I have met that have met him and they all said he was a nice guy., Oh except a nurse who was on the same flight as him and reckoned he strutted like a peacock when getting his luggage wanting to be noticed but she never spoke to him.

I don't buy all this nice bloke stuff from casual meetings.
There's plenty ****wits around who can lay it on for casual meetings.

I also know the media beat up a lot of stuff to make him out to be the villain, which of course he lays on himself, as that's how he wants himself to be portrayed.

To me it's the smaller things which show his true colours, decent people simply don't behave the way he does any time, for any reason.

Before anyone asks, no I haven't met him, and nor do I want to.

 

I have met him a couple times, he is really a nice guy.

 

everyone says thesame thing. but ACTIONS speak louder than words. how he has conducted himself throughout his career, by fighting cans and avoiding big fights (trout for exampl) is an indication of who he is.

the **** he speaks in public is also an insight into his thinking.
