Why was Pacquiao so out of position when he was ko'd?

Obviously I think Pac has insanely dominant skills, evidenced by how someone who fights like a caveman has managed to accomplish enough to go down as an ATG.

And fighting tactically like the 3rd fight produced what was at the time the most decisive result according to most fans. It wasn't Pac who got the better of it.

Pacquiao was out of position and unable to concentrate because Mitt Romney's tight-ass presence ringside in his corner made him feel like he was in a robot mortuary.

The problem was Manny's distance when deciding to follow-up behind the jab. Right before the KO, Manny was landing the straight left and had momentum. Momentum can sometimes cause mistakes.

Pac was working Juan into the corner and Juan was aware that Pac was setting him up for another left hand. It was in the closing seconds of round 6 when JMM found himself in the corner when he saw the shot that would end the fight.

The opportunity presented itself for Juan to counter Pac's left with his right, which was easier to react to becuase Pac charged in behind the jab from too far out. Mistakes like that allows a highly skilled counter puncher like Juan to nullify speed with skill and timing. It was a beautiful counter.

 

Pacquiao did'nt do anything in that round 6 that was out of the norm for himself. He did'nt just charge in recklessly as so many are desribing.

Checkout the last minute of round 6, Marquez actually got the better of the exchanges in the last minute. He was slipping and ducking Pacquiao's shots and finding the right distance to land his jab and right hand at Pacquiao's noggin.

The way Pacquiao came at Marquez that lead to the KO is exactly what Pacquiao normally does to get momentum to throw and land his straight left.

Pacquiao did'nt do anything out of the norm for himself, Marquez simply was skilled enough to anticipate that Pacquiao's double pump jab was going to be followed by his staight left, and so Marquez simply dipped to his left and unleached a right hand out from hell!

Pay attention to the last minute of round 6 here that Marquez was fighting at his distance, was ducking and slipping and getting the better of Pacquiao the last minute of that round that led to the KO!

Pac has been caught by huge shots from Marquez like that before. Almost identical. This time he just happened to get KO'd.

 

That had absolutely no impact in the KO.

Pacquiao is overly aggressive sometimes but far from a caveman. But you are strictly a Mayweather fan and if you don't have his defense you are a caveman right?

 

A lot of people can't seem to see that Pac stepped and tripped on JMM's right foot (common occurrence for a southpaw vs orthodox) and was actually falling over before he was punched. Pac was falling into the ground regardless but JMM gave him something for the way down.
