Floyd... for me...he has shown he can fight in EVERY way and win doing so.....Duran will always rate as a higher ATG we get that...yes Duran has fought Hagler,Hearns, and SRL....GREAT.....but he is not more skilled than Floyd and he is not on some crazy ass other tier than Floyd in terms of skill....and because he fought other ATG' doesnt make him more skilled either

People say Floyd is overrated...maybe...but Duran gets crazy exaggerated around here.

Lebron James is more skilled than Jordan...doesnt make him better than MJ.

In Floyd's career name something that you have not seen him do in terms of boxing and not do it succesfuly in the ring winning. He has displayed every faucet of the fight game and has done so succesfuly in the ring.

Can you say that for Duran?

(Now this is razor close...so i acknowledge it could be nit picking really, as to me these two are two of the most skilled to ever grace the sport....there really isnt much difference in skill to me but you can differentiate the two slightly)

If the sport was based solely on defense than Floyd gets the nod ,but since you need both offense and defense I have to go with the hands of stone !

Zed's dead, and so is this thread.

Ironically, if you were to start a new one with a new poll (without an expiration date), the responses would probably come flying in.

I honestly don't think Duran is more skilled than Floyd because of this. Duran lost badly to Thomas Hearns. Hearns was the prototype for any bob and weave fighter to KO. He was tall and had a suspect chin. Tyson ducked so low against Berbick his lips touched the ground and he made Berbick look stupid. Duran should have implemented the head movement right away from the opening bell against Hearns. Emmanuel Steaward often said his kryotnite is the bob and waeve peekaboo art of fighting. He said his tall fighters were terrified of it.
