Why was Pacquiao so out of position when he was ko'd?

This is an exellent view of a great shot.

Its a similar type punch to the KO shot. Same type of power behind it.
The difference is that Pacquiao saw the punch coming. You can see Pacquiao start to flinch and turn his head away from the shot.

The KO shot Pacquiao walked straight on to the shot never having a chance to turn his head or even brace himself to take it.

Fell onto the shot. If he had his feet he could have possibly braced for the impact a bit, or stopped his forward momentum. This is like two cars colliding.

pac fought stupidly imo, he was overly aggressive after seeing blood on marquezs face. He had the advantage in that fight after bloodying marquez if he slowed a bit like his fight with mosley. In fact he was hit with the same shot earlier in round 6, although stronger imo as I heard it with a loud thud. Same counter right to the head while he threw a jab. I'm sure some of you who still recall the fight would remember that, I think that should have warn him. If he took his feet off the gas peddle we would have been gone on another 12 round debate of who really won:lol:

I think putting him in an advantage, like seeing his opponent handicap(cut on marquez) makes him more predictable and amateurish. I remember some of his past fights when he smells blood he goes for the all out kill, while he is successful most of the time that is a big no no when it comes to the likes of marquez or floyd

Nonsense - watch the clip - Pac tripped into the punch and that accelerated the force of JMM's blow. Significantly contributed to the KO effect.. And thats a fact..

Marquez widened his stance and caught Pacquiao's foot with it, both were looking for outside foot dominance

PAC's face knocked itself out against Juan's right hand.

Pacquiao likes to lean into his punches and pivot his entire body forward, usually balancing only on one foot. His shuffle to get into this position is almost never grounded, which caused him to be so easily displaced by Juan's foot and cause the whole weight of his body to come down onto the punch.

This was a result of being overaggressive and overexcited. You can clearly see Pacquiao badly wanting to hurt, drop or stop Marquez immediately after Marquez knocked him down in the third. As soon as he got the chance he got overexcited. Though if you watch the fight again you can easily see Marquez looking to time him for that very same overhand right over and over till he finally got him.

Real Mayweather fans, trolls aside, have nothing to ***** about. We all saw what Mayweather-Marquez was like and we all remember how everyone considered that fight a joke because it was at welterweight.

The thread has deviated too much from the original question.
There's quite a few reasons why Manny is seen with his back against Marquez in that specific moment, but let's leave details for a different occasion. The OP most likely wouldn't know or care for in depth details.

The obvious reason has already been posted. Which is Manny's body not being balanced, Marquez creating a perfect angle and more simply because that scene/situation and angle is very often seen when there's a left handed fighter in the ring.
Look for any left handed fighters and you'll see this happening over and over again.

Stop posting that dumbass frame to try and fit your agenda. Watch the video, he dosent stand on his foot until the punch lands. It was Pac that stepped on his foot and got tripped up.
