Terry Marsh.....how good was he ?

He's now known as Mr. X as in 'None Of The Above X' (think a voting form), not as in 'X Marks The Spot.

 

A few weeks back floyd and 50 cent got into a twitter war. With floyd saying "I respect the shooter, not the one who got shot" in reference to the incident where 50 cent got shot a few years back. At least this is what people thought he meant by that statement, however what he really meant was, he respected terry marsh for shooting at fish eyes. Floyd repping that TMT (The Matchroom Team). :deal

 

He really sat down on his shots

 

Marsh made the most of what he had. He went from drawing with a decent British level fighter (Christie), to winning the European title, when that meant something, to beating a decent American in one glorious night in a big top.

The irony is, if he had been allowed to carry on he would of fought Frank ****** next...

 

British boxing would be a very different beast and we probably wouldn't have the pleasure of the broadcasting goliath that is Bunce's Boxing Hour.

Terry was the fighting fireman.That was the reason he was falsely arrested over some incident..
Apparently,someone heard a bloke shout from a motor;"For ****'s sake! Fire man!"

 

Wasn't he the guy accused of shooting Allegedly?

 

He did a year on remand before being found not guilty.

It helped his case when the MET did a re-inactment with a Terry Marsh lookalike

It was front page news on a quiet day. His brother was planning a sex change,cant remember the year but it was a long time ago.
He was a decent fighter from what I can recall,not sensational but hard and a good all round fighter. Shame that his career was cut short.

 

The comment re only watching his title fights was not directed at you highlander, more at the description someone gave as a box fighter. Terry was a real character, mad as a hatter in many ways. His British title fight with McKenzie was fantastic.
