It was probably a good decision to quit. He would probably have been ko'd in the next rounds he was taking a lot of shots in that round and it was probably not worth taking the punishment when he's still relatively young

Quitting on your first televised fight, in a match that was still up for grabs.. Wow..

So a young boxer should always quit after losing a round? Seriously, he could easily have come back..

    Oh stop.

Quitting was indeed poor form and shows he might not have the heart to make it at the highest echelon, but he's still one of the country's most skilled heavies. Outside of Jennings and Scott you can't point out too many with better overall skill sets. (leaving aside the sluggers who get by on raw power)

Maybe Banks, Thompson are up there...

Then you've got Sugar Mo Harris and Kingpin Johnson the next level down.

Of course, we'll see how long the "USS @ HW" experiment lasts - but obviously he's in the mix as well.

Otherwise, Hamer is head and shoulders above the rest of the Americans in terms of skill. (if not, as is now quite clear, heart)

Erm, ever watched the two guys that have dominated this division for this past decade?

Glazkov is one of my top 5 prospects along with Price, Fury, Scott and Pulev.

Could anyone make out what Hamer said to his trainer? It was something like "I can't _______. I'm sorry"
