Look, son, Cunningham fought a woman's fight and apparently there are still some judges out there who actually don't respect that. There was at least one round in that fight that Cunningham spent almost entirely on his bike - and he wasn't even hurt! That's not "boxing," that's track & field. That's not strategic, it's shameful. You can't win rounds that way. If this were Pride Fighting he would've gotten yellow-carded. Add to that his clinching upon contact and the fact that he spent the entire evening back-pedaling and it makes it very difficult to find a way to award USS the fight no matter how much of a Cunningham induced circle-jerk ESBers are having.

    Adamek 2 - Cunnigham 0.

    Such is life.

Yep, in many instances Steve looked like Wlad. Clinch upon contact. Excuse me if judge's didnt like that in close rounds

Your ignorant outlook on this is disgraceful. And no point in even making this an issue of nationality, either.

Man, I really hate the way people automatically think about things these days. Education is failing.

This is the note on which we end the year, guys. :verysad

This was the last major boxing event.

This was supposed to set a tone for a big 2013, with boxing returning to network TV and pulling in casuals...

    ...and we get this. :barf

Cunningham must be devastated. He did everything right. Hell, he looked like someone slit his puppy's throat when they announced the draw, before the "correction".

Cunningham threw and landed more, even according to CompuBox which IMO was too generous to Adamek.

Most of Adamek's head shots missed. I can count on my fingers and toes the # he actually touched Cunningham's head with cleanly. Cunningham landed not only far more, but the better, crisper blows upstairs. Did he affect Cunningham with his more than vice versa? Yes. He's more powerful, the bigger guy, and doesn't struggle with long-haul 12-round stamina the way Cunningham does. He still got out-thrown and out-landed and numbers aside most of Cunningham's right hands to the head were cleaner and sharper than Adamek's clubbing shots to his own.

Yeah, Adamek got in some nice body shots - but few and far between, and Cunningham got in nearly as many. It certainly wasn't a wide enough disparity to offset Cunningham's huge edge in both quantity and quality north of the trachea.

The 11th was all Adamek, but otherwise? His next best effort was the 5th but as well as he fought and as much as he imposed his style Cunningham simply did the better & cleaner work in the 5th.

Then the 7th he landed a few times and affected Cunningham but still got out-boxed for most of it. It wasn't half as good as the 5th for him, and the 5th wasn't half as good as the 11th.

Adamek's four best rounds in order: 11, 5, 7, and 1 (and 1 only because not much happened).

You could give Adamek the 1st if you ignored Cunningham's jab and focused on who's coming forward and "pressing the action" (not how scoring ought to be done).

You can't really give him the 7th, at all, but some probably did reaching very far for him.

    The 5th is a reach.

The 11th was clearly, dominantly Adamek's.

119-109 to 116-112 for USS, that's all there is to it.

This was worse than Chambers because Cunningham actually looked very good at times, as opposed to Eddie who had to try and make it thru that fight with 1 arm. Adamek looked bad in both, was outboxed in both. Even more so in this one. Seems he only did anything in the closing seconds of many of the rounds, and once Cunningham started tying him up at the ends of the rounds, even that dried up.

Now I like Adamek as a person; he seems like a genuinely nice, down to earth guy, but I won't be watching any of his fights anymore. Especially those where he is considered the "money" in the fight.

    2x Briggs
    2x USS
    Arreola
    Chambers

These are 6 fights where Adamek was far from a clear win. In all these fights his opponent and the majority of experts thought Adamek didnt win. He won all of these fights. He obviuosly stuck his head in every judges ass from Warsaw to Lake Michigan.

He is probably the most "gifted" boxer active now.

This random internet poster doesn't suffer from a degenerative neurological disorder that is robbing him of his mental faculties. Parkinson's isn't just physical.

Oh wow, look at that ignorance. Allow me to remind you what you said today, when a Polish fighter gets robbed blind. Also thank you for your detailed technical analysis and fantastic response to my post. Perhaps, you'll be so kind and provide your scorecard since you claim that we all got that fight wrong.

I'm sure Park Si-Hun would have loved to have such loyal fans when he got the nod over RJJ in the Olympic finals.

You're not a boxing fun but a mere nationalist.

You're naive if you think it's this simple. It runs deeper. The enthusiastic Poles/Polish Americans in the audience did not influence impartial judges with their drunken cheering. The integrity of the judges, for the Chambers fight at the very least, were probably compromised before the fight.

you ain't got to go there. But Roach has flat out sad that he scores fights close to make it better on tv. He effing had it even after 10, Adamek actually wins the 11th and then he still got it even. Roach scorecards are purely to keep people watching
