Aye, I agree. Most judges have never stepped foot in a gym before, never mind a ring, they don't know how hard these guys train. Same with the amateurs. One of our lads got to the Novice finals a few weeks back, he's our hardest working lad, leaves everything in the gym just so he is 100% prepared for his bouts. He batters this lad in the final, 1 score card had our lad winning by 10 points (roughly the correct score and how the bout played out), the other 2 cards had the other lad winning by 1 point. Their lad only hit ours cleanly once or twice. It's a joke, but it's been happening for years, and will continue to happen. Just like in the majority of sports.
no not new ofcourse not..but its now getting to be (the norm) dont you agree? unlucky you haha where abouts across the border does she hail?? im just outside the capital (hearts fan lol)..
im a big football (soccer) fan.and even i know that there is match fixing.but its rare and is far less a problem today than it was years ago..i play for the same team my dad played for years ago and the storys he tells me is shocking.. but my point is in football its being stomped out..why in boxing is it getting worse??
Boxing is more of a money and popularity sport in comparison to football. There is money in both, but there is more money available all round in football. Whereas in boxing, we have greedy promoters and other rich people who can buy their way to the top with boxers. If someone sells tickets, they tend to win the bout. Doesn't always happen this way, but you can go to any boxing show in the UK, you will know automatically who the ticket sellers are on these shows, they have massive crowds. If they are in close, competitive bouts, they will win. If they have even lost the bout closely or even clearly, they tend to get the decision, and nothing is done about it. If he sells tickets and brings a crowd? Milk him, even if that means robbing boxers. But like I said, it's been happening for years. What I find worse is, only the big bouts tend to cause an uproar with the boxing fans, whereas it happens a lot more often than the shows that are being televised.
i know it does thats why i said it happens at least twice a month bro. what annoys me is they dont care about the fans.in losing them or trying to gain new ones.. how can anyone watch these fights and want to be a fan of boxing..i could try and explain to a newbie what you are explaining to me but they would tell me to **** off.. we know why they do it (money, greedy *******s).dosnt mean we should accept it.. some ****ers who came in here and had a go at me seem to be fine with paying money to watch something like that and then to make matters even worse there a ****ers who will accept it as a legit win and rub it in other peoples faces and be smug *******s.. just hard to stick mate
Yeah, I agree again. I'll always be a fan of the sport though, even with the corruption, mainly for moments that remind you why you are a fan of the sport. Morales standing with Maidana, etc.
If you were a true fan you'd try to at least take some initiative and make some online petitions or write some letters.
Well the **** off and dont watch it. Why are you coming onto a Boxing forum to say your not a fan anymore? And then hang around to reply to people? Why do you still have your account?! Wasting your money? If your not a fan then why waste your time coming onto the internet to complain about it? You joke! Your not a fan anymore? Then **** off and feel sorry for yourself at home rather than waste your own and other people's time!
