Basically a former 108 pound fighter beat a former 160 pound title holder, that is unheard of,and he didnt only beat him he destroyed him and made him scream "no mas" on his stool.people try to discredit this fight now but he was a huge underdog in this fight and Oscar was being called a bully

Pac's win over OScar was huge imo despite all the talks of OScar being drained..

Me, including just about everybody else favored Oscar at the time and he was confident enough to walk into the ring so there's no excuses really.. That victory was huge..

But I actually think his win over the first Barrera fight was the biggest of them all because that's the fight that truly put him on the map... Followed by the second Morales bout and then OScar...

Juan Manuel Marquez was once 108 lbs so him growing to beat Manny was also quite dramatic and amazing.

I'll admit I was expecting Oscar to do what JMM did a couple weeks back...
But once they showed Oscar on fight night his stick legs his gaunt "bones" look I knew De La Hoya was in trouble... But I still won't say I thought Manny was going to walk through him like he did.

Props to Pacquiao & Freddie's excellent coaching & great matchmaking.
IMO, Manny never looked better than that night.

Pacquiao walked into the ring heavier than Oscar
